I keep heering rumours about the new alliace race but somebody please tell me theyre thoughts im dyieng!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I no its not pandearans.

Ok, first of all, Pandareans will NOT be the new alliance race. They stated so on BlizzCon.

With that said I will now continue my speculations.
A possible race could be the Drenai from Outlands (can be seen in Warcraft 3: TFT, Humancampaing).
But since they were a part of Illidans army among the Nagas and Blood Elves, I don't see why they would join the Alliance.

Another race alose disscussed is the Goblings, but not only do alliance already have a "tinker-race", the Goblins benefit to much staying neutral to take side. It could be that another Goblinfaction (not the SteamWheeled Cartell) join the alliance, but it feels unlikely.

And to comment on all the "beast-like" beings many have suggested, such as the Nerubians, Furblogs and also the Werewolve-creatures: They are all to beastial to work as a another playable race. The werewolves are even cursed and are not suitiable as a new, playable race.

Was it really just a rumor, or was there any actual statement saying that Alliance would get a new race too?

Na its says so on the expansion site that there is gonna be another alliance race

I though of it and why now.. why shouldent it be Nagas... they'r not horde.. theyr like. neutral.. they might join the alliance

Well according to the leaked february issue of Computer Games, it is going to be the Drenai. Honestly when I heard about the Drenai being the race a few months ago I thought, blech; who'd want to play a rather sad looking pale green pot bellied paranoid whose racial emote is looking over his shoulder all day? Then I started to read up on the sad little guys and found them to be rather interesting. Then I went back to the Swamp of Shadows and did the quests from the drenai npc, and then off to the Blasted Lands.

It was in the blasted lands that I really started to find myself intrigued by the Drenai. They seem to use warlock like spells, but if they're anti-Scourge and hate demons, how can that be so? They also have mana draining spells and a form of blast that seems to be similar to that of the Blood Elves, which is another reason Im thinking it will be the drenai. Two new races, similar racial spells and abilities, horde get a body beautiful race, and alliance gets an "ugly" one.

Will alliance players rush to play drenai like horde players and alliance for that matter rush to play blood elves? Hrmm, I rather doubt it. Personally I would have preferred the alliance get a "furry" race like the furblog, as they have stronger connections to the alliance via the night elves. I might roll a drenai or two on another server than my main server and see what their quests are like. But I honestly doubt there will be many lvl 70 drenai running around on their slug mounts come xmas ;-)
