Lineage II

If you answered yes to the above, then you can stop looking for a clan to join because you just found the perfect one!
The Clan of the Dragoon is one ambitious clan and we aim to become a famous and well respected clan in the world of Lineage II. We have 3 major things we wish to accomplish:

1. We will lay siege and claim a magnificent city where our members will live;
2. A few members will be chosen to raise a dragon egg to the wingless "strider" stage and join an elite team of Mounted Dragoons (there are several divisions of our military such as our special forces or siege team if that is your shtick); and
3. Most important of all these things, we will make sure that our members have FUN playing Lineage II as members of the Clan of the Dragoon!

We define the Clan of the Dragoon as a close-knit, family-like Clan which places emphasis on building a strong friendship between our members. We encourage role-playing; however, it is not mandatory. We feel that role-playing will enrich our Lineage II playing experience and many of our members are active role-players.

If you would compare us to something, then we are a very unified collection of adventuring gypsies and swashbuckling would-be heroes that have found a home among friends -- all of whom have visions of riding on the back of a scaled Wyvern and flying, not walking, into our grand future.

EDIT: We our based out of the EST Zone in North America, however our clan is open to any who are willing to play on a NA shard/server.

Nice presentation...
But you missed a very important fact:
According to NC only the head of the castle can have a mature dragon, so if you really want that everyone in the clan to have a fully mature dragon you have to have a castle for every member(good luck with that one). Sure it has been hinted that there might be a way of getting a Wyvern without being the head of the castle but that is still only rumours.
So you might have to kick back on that one and allow most of the members to get away with “only” having a strider.
I hope you guys will be active during the US beta and the Taiwanese beta so that we can have us some clan battles on the plains.

BTW Dragoons are horse riding soldiers(cavalry), it has nothing to do with dragons.

Let me correct the statement -- by raising an egg to maturity, I meant to indicate that they need to raise it to maturity where it is in the "strider" phase, so it can be mounted and ridden.

As for the history of the word dragoon, it actually comes from the Middle French word for dragon -- circa 1622.  Of course, dragoon literally is a member of a European military unit formerly composed of heavily armed mounted troops -- since there weren't dragons or griffins back then (unless the government has been doing a REALLY good job of covering up these facts), horses were really the best option -- here, I think fantasy and imagination can carry us a little further! =)

lol you copycat, but your right on one point it only sais mounted so it could be used for stider mounted troops.

Why change a good definition!  If the words fit, use them! =) ;)  It's like quoting the great Albert Einstein...oh wait, I do that too... =P

Members representing the nations all over the world is definately preferable, as long as everyone can play on one server...doesn't do us much good w/out them being active on the one collective server! ;)

As for the name -- I have debated that very issue.  It actually depends on the clan history that we collectively agree upon.  If we make Dragoon be a god, god-like figure, or a long-forgotten hero (et cetera), then we are fighting or representatives of his/hers/its ideals.  On the other hand, dragoon"s" would be better if it is describing the whole group.

ohh so your going to be a hardcore rpg guild where all the mebers will use there aliases as characters when you guys chat and so on? Have a fanatsy story about the origin of the clan, ideal etc.?

I definately wouldn't say our clan/guild is "hardcore" -- it's such an extreme word.  Those enjoy it, we encourage it but don't prevent decent, mature players from joining our ranks because they aren't hardcore rpg'ers.  To better answer this question, here is a quote from our Clan Faq:
