KNIGHT ONLINE, THE MOST POPULAR MMORPG ON DOWNLOAD.COM

With over 2 million registered accounts, the game is reaching 40,000 concurrent users making it a highly popular game in North America and with English speaking players worldwide

AUSTIN, TexasOctober 27, 2005 - K2Network, Inc. (www.K2Network.net), a global online entertainment and community management company, announced today at Austin Game Conference 2005 that its flagship game title, Knight Online (http://www.K2Network.net), has been listed as the most popular massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) on CNet’s download.com.

Since the official launch on December 2004, Knight Online has experienced a steady increase in user registration and successfully reached over two million registered accounts and is quickly reaching forty thousand concurrent users. In response to its rapid growth the company added three new worlds, tripled its operation and support staff and completely revamped the game with a major upgrade called “Return of King” (a.k.a Empire Patch), exceeding customers’ expectations.

Furthermore, the company will launch its sixth world named Olympia during the first half of November, 2005. In conjunction with the new server launch the company plans to run its first ever class-based tournament "Tower of Might" to determine the best in each class. Thus, a total of four tournaments will be run to determine the best player in each class in a full PvP (Player vs. Player) setting.

“We are thrilled about CNet’s recent recognition of Knight Online as the most popular MMORPG title on Download.com. We believe this success has been achieved largely through our intense focus on PvP features and the ground-breaking Free2Play pricing strategy that no other major fantasy MMORPG in North America has tried on a large scale. It represents K2 Network’s commitment to offering what today’s gamers want and an approach to innovation and creativity.” said Joshua Hong, Chief Executive Officer of K2 Network.

He also added “We put our gamers first because we are grateful for the overwhelming success of Knight Online. We will continue to listen to our fans and strengthen close relationships with them by making Knight Online the destination for MMO gamers who want the world’s most exciting, heart-pumping PvP events”

Knight Online is the critically acclaimed medieval fantasy adventure game with perpetual war servers operating with local language-support in China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, and North America. Since its first introduction in Korea three years ago, Knight Online has been enjoyed by millions of players from over 80 countries.

With constant improvements to the game and aggressive marketing, K2 Network expects to grow its global English speaking player base to 3 million by early 2006 for its North American servers.

Well, I have played this game... probably just like most of the playerbase I picked it up because it was free to play. I enjoyed playing it but really didn't give it much more than a few hours time over a few days. I may check it out again since I still have it installed, and I find it quite impressive that they are doing so much to keep the playerbase happy even though it's free tp play.

I really like the number of free games we are seeing now, I think it's good for everyone even to the point of forcing the pay t play games to up their standards.

Ok,Well I suppose if you like a primarily Hacker riddled experience with Bots and Macro's ,and you speak Turkish then this game would be a 7. Out of those 40,000 accounts its funny Ive found three people that speak english. However it is a nicer environment than GW. I havent seen S.T.F.U. in text once,as is common in GW. Just alot of Turkish. If your broke, like me, and looking for something to play thats fun...Good luck. Oh and I played for a couple months earlyer this year, and have spent the last 5 days in the game to see if the experience is beter and yes it is.However the forum has not been available yet.New data base is scheduled for 11/1,06... As I am not a PVP minded person ,I prefer Questing and socializing, so dont let me keep you from the game.I dont Care for GW since I saw all the lands and Maxed my level and Gear in four weeks.Best Game Ive ever played was Legends of Dragoon anyway. So Ill go back to pawn shop and buy a PS 2 again.

Being a long time player of United States Knight Online, I can confidently say that this is no where near the mmorpg that K2 networks would like to beef it up to be.  The Japanese Knight Online which uses the Ice Age client is far ahead of where USKO stands today, so is they Malaysian Knight Online client (both usa and malaysia use Knight Empire client).  No doubt that the users downloading the USKO client are from Turkey.

USKO is no where near either a stable game, or an english speaking one.  I say this because though the servers are american (based in Irvine California) they are filled with 95% foriegn languages (mainly Turkish) and many hack programs and duplicate item methods and account hack methods.  As a paying customer for many months I have experienced meager customer support.  In fact, the server I play on (Cypher) has no active Game Master at the moment and has not for months. (The original Game Master account was hacked by Turkish players of a clan named Heaven)

I can fully back up all my information with screen shots of gameplay,  and testimonials from the USKO forums.  Anyone that tries to post on USKO's corrupt managment has their threads deleted and usually their forum accounts banned along with ip ban.  By simply looking at each MYKO webpage and USKO webpage there is a noticable difference.  It is easy to see the lack of effort the USKO tech admin and game masters put in to their work.  Players have no power against the admin due to the game being free to play and their extensive User End Agreement which in a nutshell says they can do anything what they want without reason (because this is usually how the GM's act).  Many accounts are frequently hacked, items are either edited or duplicated in game which causes innocent players to have items deleted once Game Masters Initiate duplicate and edit item wipes.  This would not be such a problem if many many players didnt buy items from the games "Power Up Store" to sell in game so they might acquire items to use on their characters.

I know this as been alot to read and there is much more that I can say.  The K2 Networks are a thread away from lies.  The so called "Return of King" patch is bugged and did not work for I believe a month or two.  Also the USKO staff implemented "Punk Buster" to block hack programs which at the same time allowed the bugs that many players use to Dupe and Edit items.  K2 Networks DOES NOT put their gamers first and has minimal succcess in their clients.  I myself am not a disgruntled player and have not been hacked.  I merely speak the truth and I have played USKO for over a year and I plan on to continue playing hoping that K2 Networks might take real action to their USKO servers.  I encourage all to make an account and expierience first hand the  real truth of USKO.  If you don't have the time for this simply browse the USKO forums, there should be enough to see there.  Sincerely Seth
