James Hettinger, the CEO of Icarus Studios, took some time recently to answer a few of our questions about their upcoming post-apocolyptic MMORPG Fallen Earth. He also was kind enough to provide us with a rare screenshot of the game. You can read more here. Dana Massey |

Looks like it's going to be interesting. Sounds a lot like Neocron to me. Hopefully they take a long hard look at Reakktor's mistakes and learn some lessons from it. |

I truly believe this game will catch the mmo community off guard and take it by storm. One of these days, they are going to start the most polished beta mmorpg gaming has ever seen, which will hype the game to epic proportions a'la world of warcraft. At least thats my theory. _____________________ |

Damn right. Neocron was groundbreaking in its concept and could be much bigger if the code quality was better. Actually, I think Neocron could still recover if Reakktor would fix a few things. The most important being the laggy netcode, followed by a few long promised but still unavailable features. This said, I think Icarus Studios have a good chance of filling that market niche. Unless Twilight War beats them to it. Tabula Rasa might also absorb a few of the sci-fi MMORPG fans, so the competition will definitely increase. For Reakktor, I am icreasingly pessimistic |

Sounds like the game is moving along nicely. I am looking forward to playing it, more so than the other games like Twightlight War, though it has possibilities also lol. Can hardly wait for the release.

Lots of the same claims and promises we have been hearing for years... I hope they manage to pull it all off... it will certainly get my monthly $$ if it plays as good as it sounds. +-+-+-+-+-+ |

I hafta say this is the first one in a long while that sounds even remotely like a 'decent' game. Bring it on!

I have been watching this game for a while and I am pleased every time they release information about it. You can have your "Auto Assault' and stick it in Nuclear fallout! This game looks like the Post Apocolypse game I have been waiting for. |

That was a REAL cheesey way of getting people to read about this new game. I click the link to read something about the latest patch in Warcraft, only to have this interview thrown at me. I wouldn't have bothered saying anything here since it's probably just a coding issue on MMORPG's part, but then I thought.... "screw that. If I don't say anything, who will?" Then I thought... "why hide my pissy-ness at this blatant attempt to push a game on uninterested people?"
Just kiddin really, but you should fix the link. On the 1-10 Features that auto-scroll on the top of the main page, I clicked the 1st one (World of Warcraft: The Black Temple Patch) and was sent here. So uhh... how do I get to the Warcraft one anyway? -Naaz. |

Well apparently in order to find the correct link to the Black Temple patch article, you need the browsing skill equivalent to black temple raiding!
lol jk but here's the actual link, had to jump through a few hoops to find it but IT EXISTS! www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/setview/features/loadFeature/1270/gameID/15 |
