Well I've been thinking about getting Station Access... I currently subscribe to Planetside and I have a copy of MxO and a preorder/beta account. Also thinking about getting EQ2 since Ive found it less then $20 new before.

I know all the SoE games have major problems because of their poor management but being 15 with too many hobbies and no way to make money besides my $10 a week allowance this may be a good option for me. Any input on this?

Oh in case anyone wants to suggest a game for me, Ive tried and didnt like:

DAoC - Having lots of classes is nice, 24/7 arguing about why they all suck is not. Also it seems like the whole game is a level grind to get to RvR.

Shadowbane - I liked some of the interesting features (like the character creation system) but the graphics and gameplay lost my interest.

WoW - do I need an excuse?

EVE Online - I liked it but I didnt... I mean its a good game but it feels like a single player game with chat.

Second Life - Stuck on the teen grid, not too much fun.

The Saga of Ryzom - I actualy liked this game alot but the conflict is $30 and $15 a month for Ryzom or $20 (for EQ2) and $21 a month for Planetside, EQ2, and MxO.

Please no ur teh suxxors syle replies.

As a fan of the under dog and lesser played, yet exceptional games I say forget Sony and go with SoR or EVE. Seems like you don't need any convincing on SoR. But to defend EVE, it picks up a lot once you train up your skills, join a corporation, and PvP, which takes a several weeks. I'm in the process of training most right now and I know how you felt. Watch some of the PvP videos and that's what I really look forward to. Also it's a great change from every other game out there.

As a consumer, really though the best thing is to go for the Station Pass. As much as I hate the king, Sony, the Station Pass really is a great deal. Don't forget you gain access to Infantry! I love it!

Agreed. The SoE station pass (although I'll pass on their games) is a fantastic option. That said, I always maintain that it is not just a question of money but time i.e. I am incredibly demanding of my time. No point in playing a game just because it offers good value for money if you hate the experience.

Take advantage of the free trials available and pick just ONE game that you like. Then stick with it. If that happens to be a SoE game than choose the Station Pass. But don't just choose the Pass on value alone if you have an inkling that you'll hate SoE products.

The free trials (if you have a credit card) are there for a reason: use 'em. If you do, try and stick at a game for the full 2 weeks because some games have a longer learning curve than others.

Other than that, good luck!
