One small item: The expansion is called Darkness RISING, not Darkness Falls....But I'm sure you knew that....

When you get older and cant sleep for any reason, at least you can watch to those stuff.
The trailer is not bad...but, from a non-subscribing player point of view, I dont see what is supposed to be appealing in it. Dont read me wrong, since I play DAoC in the past I see the upgrades...but only a graphic displays? This trailer almost look like it was done by players in the test servers, rather then by Mythic itself...
Check the trailer NCsoft did for CoV....the story might not be perfect...but at least it is interesting you, while they display new graphics...and give you a glimpse at new features in the game (PvP & powers).

Am I the only one thinking this is surely just an upgrade to the graphics in a dungeon that already exists (called Darkness Falls)?

One of the features of DAOC: Darkness Rising is the inclusion of a full revamp of the Darkness Falls PVP dungeon, about time too, it's starting to look a little dated, and the items needed an update too. :) It looks great. |

Most of the new content in the expansion is linked to Darkness Falls in some manner. However keep in mind all the benefits and new abilities and such (Champion Levels, Champion Weapons, etc) can be obtained through PvE OR RvR. You're not forced to PvE for the stuff if you don't want to, can get it via RvR. Richard Cox |

I just saw the trailer and it looks awesome. This one just shows before / after takes of a lot of popular areas in Darkness Falls. I think every expansion that DAOC released has increased the graphics of their product. It doesn't show the Champion Levels or Mounts that are also planned to be released in the expansion. I don't think there were any Champion Weapons in there as well.

No Offense, DAOC was a great game when I played it, but that trailer kinda sucked. I agree with the person who said it looked like it was made by players and not Mythic. I saw nothing that made me want to re-open my accounts, it just looked like a graphics upgrade. I kept waiting the whole time to see some badass mob come up and watch legion bow down before it and nothing. Mythic really needs to put something better out to spark interest in this new expansion. Something that grabs you and marks you go damn, that was awesome. This trailer was honestly like a sad joke. |

Looks cool from my point of view as a none DoaC player, but whats next, now the graphics looks like the other mmo's what about something mindblowing new, or is that to hard to make in a old game. |
