I think SOE should change the questing system a bit.  It's so mainstreamed now.  There is no realism.  If I look up how to do a quest online, that is almost, if not exactly how it will be in game.  Why can't they make it a little more diverse?  Make quests that are changing.  Even the NPC could change.  There are so many unused NPC's in the game it's crazy.  Or make it so depending on what you choose as responses to the NPC, that would determine your outcome.

Quests right now are totally boring, it's just get quest, go here and kill something, and come back to quest giver.  They are lame for the most part.  I don't get the feeling at all as if they are story driven.

And whatever happened to class specific quest?  It all goes back to the lack of diversity in EQ2.  One part of that is questing for items.  Why can't they make class specific quests for armor, weapons, and spells?  Ok, so they do the armor quests at lvl 20.  Those are a good thing, but what is there for high lvl?  Also, those armor quests group a few classes together for each set of armor so it's still not totally class specific.  I think they should have armor quests again at lvl 40.

Just some ideas...

Oh, one final thought.  Lower the XP gained from quests, give better items instead, and raise the xp gained from all PvE.  I don't like the fact that quests drive groups and not xp.  Too many times have people dropped from groups or won't join because you aren't working on something that they have quests for.  Really takes away for the comradery found in EQ1.
