Ok so i've been living in a squill cave the last half year.
Came out and saw the world around me as i knew it... gone :P (Insert your dramatic sound effect here).
So i am a MBH, with some CM skills. with the new system and all being more focust on group hunting ect ect, makes it a little harder for me to solo because i dont always have much time to play and with a group. so i solo  when i just need a quick swg fix! So my main focus is pve... although would be nice to preform a little with pve as i am a BH
Any sugguestions for my template (sorry if there's already a thread like mine)
Also i could find little info about armor that suits best for mbh and pve.
I still like what i have goin now, MBH and CM.. its something i started before CU
So a little help would be real nice... any help ;) i just need someone to confirm what i have or give me a few good pointers

MBH, MCM is pretty much the flavor of the month template currently.  It is extremely effective in PvP if played well.  Drop Paralyze on your target and when they're paralyzed drop CM states on them.  Don't do any real damage though because that breaks Paralyze.  Once you've landed your states hit them with everything you've got from BH and they'll be toast.

Yea i know, everybody takes MBH with respec... but hey if the jedi population grows... there will be more need for bh then right ? :D

Anyhoe i should stick with what i got? will i be able to last with pve??
And what about the armor? am still wearing this old comp armor i bought half a year ago.
couldnt find much info about this

Get yourself a set of new player crafted armor for your profession. Since the AS bugs have been fixed in the last patch , you can get it with health enhancement bonus (+400 I think).

Your old comp armor wont be competitive anymore. And now the 20 OTHER armor types are as useful and necessary as composite.

Thnx i feel like such a noob ... again
So my pre cu armor is no good anymore? And the faction armor is now crafted by players i've heard..
Whell thanks again... still open for tips and sugguestions.
Am gonne keep my MBH and CM... so armorwise i'll gotta check things out.. those new faction armor looks great. What about weapons? i saw all the new guns for diff. profs... couldnt find new gun for my bh though?

Depends on the armor rating of your armor.  Generally good armor has protection around 6000.  When it comes to comp your kinetic protection should be around 8000 while your energy protection will be around 4000 with the special protection around 6000.

When it comes to BH weapons there are now light and advanced versions of the scatter pistol and lightning cannon (now the lightning rifle).  There is also the Czerka Dart Carbine which is certed at Investigation 4 I believe, that however, isn't such a great weapon.

Moral victories don't count.

to clarify what thos enumbers mean for armor:

a rating of 6300 will stop 50% of the damage from incomming attacks.

a rating of 10000 will stop 60%.

a really good AS can get you to around 8000, a competent (SP?) one can get you to 7000 easy enough.

 

Assault is good against Kinetic, Recon is good against Energy, Battle is balancd.

 

 

i'm 90% sure of thos enumbers so if someone knows i'm wrong pease correct me :)

Pay attention to this line Bounty Hunters and think about what weapon Jedi use most often before you run around attacking Jedi.

Winning against a JEDI KNIGHT is about being prepared as well as being skilled. That includes what type of foods, armor, weapons you are using and what tactics you are going to use.

Is it just me, or does the armor seem backwards to anyone else. I mean, shouldn't assalt armor be strong against energy and recon strong against kinetic? Does anyone know the reasoning behind why it is done this way? Or am I just an idiot? LOL!

recon armor is generally kept to classes that try to be mobile and use ranged weapons.  most of their enemies will be equipped with ranged weapons.

ranged weapons are usually energy based (although there are exceptions).

 

assault armor is made for classes that get up close and personal.  like when BH's take on Jedi's with glowsticks.  most melee weapons are kinetic based, again with exceptions.

 

Battle armor is made for professions with a mix of ranged and melee proficiencies.  So their armor, while not as effective against either damage type, is balanced for all types of combat.

 

 

that's the *general* rule of thumb.  AS can tweak their numbers considerably for varying effects.
