I know I know people have asked a billion times, but yet i'm going to ask again. I am looking for an MMORPG. I will also give some highlights as to what i'm interested in and my background. I am asking this question, because I have not played every MMORPG and would really like to hear what everyone has to say.

First I began my days of MMORPG's with (not in any order) DAoC, EQ, EQ2, SWG, PS, GW, WOW, COH, Runescape.

I do enjoy Fantasy based MMORPGs, but I have grown very tired of them so I might be looking towards a SCI-FI based MMORPG, but I am still open for suggestions of any type (this also includes games still in production).

The main focus of what I DO NOT want in the MMORPG is a Grinding Curve. I had several characters in all those MMORPG's and frankly am fed up with grinding exp. I want to be able to enjoy the game without needing to worry about my level so heavily.

I would like the game to contain a nice crafting system of some sort that isn't totally useless.

I am currently looking at EVE Online and Auto Assault (but knowing NCSOFT there will be a grind, which I REALLY do not want).

I am not a fanboy of any sort. So i'm open to any suggestions and please IF you are a fanboy don't just give immature unintelligent statements. Thank you in advance for your time and I hope to see what this wonderful community has to offer. Thank you. (Also please excuse any grammar/spelling errors)

dark and light might be good for you.  It is another fantasy, but looks like less of a grind.  Theres 2 types of xp, social and fighting.  Theres a political system, crafting, side vs. side pvp and much much more.  It's still in beta, and you can check it out at darkandlight.com

I'll take a look at DnL, but still open for suggestions.

The only sci-fi "MMORPG" I'm looking forward to is Tabula Rasa, with Lord British in its team: http://www.playtr.com/

Imperator could also have been a good sci-fi game, but it has been cancelled (or nearly cancelled).

EVE-online has a 14 day trial so you can give it a try. You won't have to grind to increase the xp, as it increases over time. Although some might like this system, you will need more than a month of traning before you can do something in PVP, meanwhile you can do repetitive quests, repetitive mining or... nothing more, that's all you can do :P If you like roleplaying this game is good, as it has one of the best communities.

Did you know about Pirates of the Burning Sea? http://www.piratesoftheburningsea.com/ its not fantasy mmorpg nor sci-fi, I think it really has a good potential.

I would have really liked to try teh EVE Online trial, but I am on 56k and can't handle such a large download.

The skill system in EVE Online catchs my eye, because I can still advance without actually playing. I have work, school, my website, my art, college prep, and of course my girlfriend to think of first before gaming. So with all that said I can only play 2-4 hours a day.

Anymore suggestions are greatly welcomed. Thank you all in advance and I will look into all games suggested.

Only lineage games have a huge grind that is made by Ncsoft. Also, I am looking forward to

Land of Ten Oceans: www.landoftenoceans.com

Dark Solstice: http://www.solsticeserver.com/news.htm

Both are in pre-alpha so not much is shown but I like the ideas. . Darkfall and the new Freeworld(it is going to be changed fully and is going to be made a science fiction mmo) look pretty sweet too.

There are two MMORPGs in development that I look forward to,I think they may interest you:
Granado Espada Korean MMORPG set in Renaissanse world, here are main features-
1.You can control up to 3 characters at once(don't know how fun is it,but it's different from another MMORPGs)
2.You have "barrack" with your characters, and choose which of them will will adventure today.
3.NPC fellows-you can recruit NPCs to follow you in your journeys.
4.Characters may killl monsters without player's control, and you can spend your time in game exploring
the world,for example.
Another interesting game is The Chronicle of Spellborn,it's made by Dutch developers and will be released in 2006.Main concept ideas:
1. Players want to interact with each other or fight against each other individually and / or in groups.
2. Players want to experience a fun game and look cool right from the start.
3.Players want to influence the world and make a difference.
