My God....are all WoW trolls social retards?

Hello again!

I'm back with some more questions.  Once again any help will be greatly appreciated.

1.  A few more abbreviations that I'm having confusion over: aggro, proc, & mpg.

2.  How do you make a hotbutton?  I want to create hotbuttons for "move corpse" & "summon horse."  How do I do this (I checked the User Manual & that didn't help)?

3.  On some items (armor mostly) that have multiple stats for strength, dexterity, etc...  For example: STR +5 (+10) DEX +3 (+6) and so on.  How does one attain the higher number for that piece of armor or weapon?

4.  Back to adding an augmentation to your armor/weapon.  When you find an augment, the game tells you to go to the Wayfarers to get the satchel (or whatever) to combine the augment with the armor/weapon.  Well I tried to go to a Wayfarer to do this but I couldn't figure out how.  What is the proper procedure here?

Well that's it for now.  I recently joined a guild & they have tons of useful info in their forums; however, I feel I should know more than I do & I don't want to come across as a total idiot to my new guildees (although I'm sure they wouldn't mind my questions on such basic stuff).

Thanks for any assistance!

1. A few more abbreviations that I'm having confusion over: aggro, proc, & mpg.

"Having aggro" means being the target of a mob's aggression based on how much "hate" the critter has for you. That is, being the one he wants to hit. If you keep aggro, he only hits you. If you steal aggro, you generate more hate than the person who was trying to keep aggro, and the critter turns and starts pounding on you instead. It is pretty much equivalent to the amount of hate a critter has for you.

A "proc" is a spell that is cast by your weapon while you are using it. If it "procs" a stun, just swinging it will cause that stun spell to go off occasionally (pretty randomly, based on DEX).

mpg... haven't seen that before. Use it in a sentence?

2. How do you make a hotbutton? I want to create hotbuttons for "move corpse" & "summon horse." How do I do this (I checked the User Manual & that didn't help)?

For /corpse, go to your "Actions" window (the one with sit/stand, camp, etc buttons on it). It has tabs on it. One of them is for "socials" and will have blank buttons on it. (Gotta think about how to do this. Was just doing it the other night, but I just did it, didn't really think about it...) Right(?) click on a button, it brings up a window. Name your hot key in the upper left hand short box. Type the actions you want it to do in the long blanks, like /corpse, and then click accept. Then you can left-click-and-hold to pick up the button and drag it to your hotkey bar.

You can left-click-and-hold on your bridle in inventory to drag that to make a horse hotkey, or you can do it with the / command in the same manner as above.

3. On some items (armor mostly) that have multiple stats for strength, dexterity, etc... For example: STR +5 (+10) DEX +3 (+6) and so on. How does one attain the higher number for that piece of armor or weapon?

You get the higher stats by getting to the recommended level, which is also in the description, unless there's some other reason for multiple stats I haven't yet encountered since my return.

4. Back to adding an augmentation to your armor/weapon. Hrmm... has this changed? You used to put augments on using the 'bird baths' at the wayfarer's camps.

The enemy is so dumb! They believe that WE are the enemy! - A famous orc commander.

MPG?

No idea, but since melees use DPS for Damage per second...I would blame it on a lonely caster that say Mana Per Ganking!    Could also be Mobs Per Group!

(seriously, P almost certainly stand for Per)

Neschria already answer everything else...I am to late.

MPG is a zone name = Muramite Proving Grounds

just to clairify a bit - augments - at any of the wayfarer camps there should be a "bird bath". There is one in the guild hall and there might be one in the bazaar.

You click on this "bird bath" and it opens a two slot window.
You put your new augment in one slot,
the gear piece you wish to augment in the other
and hit combine.

You can also do this to remove the augment from a piece of armor.
You buy the proper solvent (from a wayfarer vendor).
put the solvent in the bird bath slot
put the armor piece in the other slot
hit the seperate button

My dog barks some. Mentally you picture my dog, but I have not told you the type of dog which I have. Perhaps you even picture Toto, from "The Wizard of Oz." But I warn you, my dog is always with me.
