In SWG since there are so many different races and cultures pretty much any name goes.

Pick a first name and, if you feel like it, a last name that suits you :)

Pick up a star Wars novel and look through the first 1 or 2 pages at the bookstore, one of them usually lists the names of all the characters in the book and what races they are. That will give you a good idea of what kind of names work for each race/culture.

"Honor before Glory... Duty before Honor"

I dunno, race doesn't really matter. I think the only races that wouldn't make sense as Bounty Hunters are Wookie (Too honorable), Mon Cal (space farers, not combat guys), Ithorian (Peaceful nature, abhor violence) and possibly the Sullustans since they tend to focus more on spaceflight and combat. I don't recall any of the races in that list being known for having any bounty hunters in any of the movies or books I've read. Any race other than those would be fine.

I think that leaves human, twilek, rodian, trandoshan or zabrak.... All of those were known to have Bounty Hunters in the books and in the movies.

As to a name? Depends what race you choose :)

Well color me dissed.

Well here's some advice from no one:

When picking a Star Wars name, if you want it to actually be starwarsy, follow the Lucas Baby Book style.
1) Decide who and what your character is going to be, pick a word in another language that describes or defines it, then misspell it and use it as either first or last name.
2) Human surnames... combine a noun and verb to create an ajective that announces "I am a sci fi hero (or villain)"
3) Twi'lek names - Usually having both a given and surname, butcher a drunk pronounciation of something and throw in some apostrophes in clever spots. Single named Twi'leks are kind of the Lucas version of red shirts. You don't want to be on the away team with a single name or you won't be coming back for the next scene much less the next season.
4) Wookie names - anything that sounds like the results of teasing a dog with a chew-toy. Please refrain from using "chew" and "bacca" in the name, no matter HOW tempting you might find them.
5) Zabrak names - Usually a common and surname, and don't even try to be Darth Maul. He might have looked cool, but honey, he's just a red shirt with a good makeup job.
