some 1 has proberly said something about this as well but oh well, Don't u think the graphics in the game r abit bland, not enough detail to the landscape/builds/charaters will they be able to improve the look r will it stay how it is looking in the screen shots taken. (unless the screen shots were taken with a rubbish computer) I still want the game even if the graphics stay how they r as it will still be amazing

They will improve. Currently RB has all the settings set on low. That includes the exclusion of non-collidible flora, a horribly sized ground texture, no character customization, and everything looking like something that would run from DOS. Once the Commercial Test is further along, and most of the features are fully integrated, they will turn on the graphics and redo most of them to make them look better. If you watch the video called "Visiting a Potter" (here) you will see that the tree branches move. Does that bode well or what? edit: Some more info. The current GUI is there only as a test one. Once the game is further along there will be several available depending on what (I want to say race...) -- Faction you choose to play. Also, the sky will be greatly improved and I hear it might also be dynamic. There is confirmation that it will at least move. |

Come play with me i'll give you an apple.... |
I think everyone would like to see the graphics improved, but the thing is, both of you are talking about screenshots on either of the extremes. The screenshots on the website (apart from the one Traken gave a link to) are all on low settings so that the commercial test doesnt get too laggy and slow for people to test the important things, although even at that they look great for an MMO i think. Also the screenshot Traken gave a link to is on very high settings just to show what their game engine can actually do. Either way id like to see the graphics improved even though id happily play the game for a long time with the graphics as they currently are (depending on if the gameplay is how everyone is expecting it to be).

I think the armour and weapons look fine! Actually I prefer the grass not being tall! Means less barbarian ambushes in fields! The forest I think need some more underbrush though. That is a must |

Also, that screenshot is from the old engine, RB had to rebuild one from scratch to allow the game to perform functions like the community wanted. Wait for KFR to release a shot and say, "Okay, this is how it's going to look at release.", then we can all start in with the praises/complaints. ;) |

The graphics will never be eq/wow quality.... simply because you cannot have eq/wow quality and 2000+ players and npcs in battle at once. I like the graphics, they are not outlandish, but realistic. |
