I heard from a friend that DAoC doesn't have an end-game except for the RvR. I would've believed him outright, if I didn't see video clips of players raiding huge dragons and other monsters. But then again, those couldn't been mid-level beasts, just like Lord Nagafen and Lady Vox in EQ.

I just wanna make sure if DAoC is a game even for high lvl non-pvp ppl, too.

The majority of end game for DAoC is, in fact, pvp (rvr).  There are other things to do at high levels.  Dragon Raids, Raiding a Castle called Caer Sidi, Master Level Raids, Artifact Raids, Instanced Dungeons.  From my experience, though, rvr is the best option.

I will add this comment.  When I first started playing DAoC, nearly 3 years ago, I was not a big fan of pvp.  Now, I absolutely love it.  There is really no player griefing.  If you don't play on the pvp servers, there is no way for players to grief at all.  You choose when you pvp by zoning into a battleground or frontier.

I suggest giving the trial a shot.  It's free so all you have to invest is your time.

There are other things to do beside PVP/RVR.

There are often Dragon Raids, Darkspire, and Galladoria.   Some still go to Tur Suil.

There is a mob underwater - Kracken that gets raided.  Not ALL guilds have a total focus of RVR -- There are some that do both.  If you join a guild in a large alliance there are often groups doing some of those other things.

Many consider RVR to be the end all -- why not explore the other places -- you paid for them too

These take fairly large groups to conquer.

If you really prefer PVE player v environment/enemy  there is also the co-op server - Gaheris to explore.  There are keeps and such there too - they are held by mobs and drop seals.  The interesting thing about that server is you can play all 3 realms in the same place - all players are friendly.

Hope that helps.

DAoC is the only mmorpg that has a real endgame = RvR

Killing the same monsters over and over like WoW or EverQuest is not an endgame, it's boring.

The difference is there is choice here - and you can do both if you choose- or venture into RvR/PvP when you are ready .

You might start out thinking  you only want PVE - but after you've  been to the battlegrounds - and made some friends, chances are you too will enjoy PVP .  The rest is always still there.

PvP is not for eveyone.. or sometimes not for everyone all the time.  There are plenty of other things to do and people to do them with..

RvR/PvP has a very vocal population - but the numbers say they arent the actual majority of players.

I do both - depending on the day , who is online , or what is going on -- Therre is plenty  to do for both.

Check out the VN Gaheris community board .  They have things like you speak of going on regularly.
