little question for y'all ... to BE a master bounty hunter you have to learn the left skill tree of scout but do you need the master marksman to be bounty hunter ? seen a char builder wich said that was necessary to be master marksman to be able to go to MBH .. hope you could help me out clear this problem.. thx in advance |

No, you don't. Just Scout 4000 and Marksman 0004. The Char Builder you saw is outdated. Look for post-CU char builders. |

IMHO, They should have introduced NPC jedi to hunt as part of the Bounty Hunter profession to begin with. If they are hard, then that allows for more interesting game play. The bounties (the combat levels of the actual targets) are too easy to begin with. No offense, but your argument that you would rather hunt Krayts is misplaced because *ahem* you can't get a Krayt bounty hunter mission. My name is... |

Hi, I've just got my novice BH and am looking for a good template. I have nearly finished off Fencer and wondered if this is useful for a MBH. I've read alot about the ranged templates like MBH/MCM and was wondering if there are any viable alternatives. Thanks |

While I don't recommend mixing melee with BH you CAN do it. But you really don't want to go toe-to-toe with a Jedi..... It's best to kill them from range. Up close they can use their force powers... and it just gets ugly fast. Especially against FRS Knights and Masters. |

Hey, you know earlier how you said when you get the total experience you get a landspeeder ( i already knew) do you get it only for the first account made or every account you make on that thing? also is there ammunition for the guns or laser guns or watever, just asking because on some star wars games you get infinite ammunition, can you please get me on the right track? And what race do you guys think suits the bh best? and how do you pick to be on the empire's side?

Err :) My server is in my sig :) It's a medium->heavy population server, used to be one of the light ones but they're all pretty heavily populated now. No, guns don't use up ammo :) And yes, CH can have numerous pets available but they're limited as to how many they can use at the same time. |

It seems to me that there is almost an over abundance of Bounty Hunters in the forums here and almost zero jedi. That must be because the Jedi are crying in the forums at SOE to get SOE to nerf non-jedi. I used to think that there were too many Bounty Hunters now I think there are too many Jedi and I might be a Bounty Hunter to keep the Jedi population to what it should be, as close to 4 as possible for Vader, Emperor, Yoda, and Luke is basically one. Rock on population controlers rock on.
Thanks |

The numbers are your skill level in the various skill trees in the profession. SWG isn't a 'level' based game it's based on what skills you choose to learn. Saying Medic 0220 tells those who know (or feel like pulling up a char builder) what skills you have in the Medic profession. Basically Medic 0220 means that you have Bacta Shot, Bacta Toss and +15 to healing efficiency. |

Professions are made up of skill trees. To start, there is a novice level, the minimum you need to be able to do anything related to that profession (roughly). then there are 4 tiers of 4 branches. so when someone says they have 1234 in a particular profession; they mean that have the tier 1 skill of the first column; then tier 1 and 2 of the second column; the tier 1, 2, and 3 of the third column; and all 4 tiers of the 4th column. if you have gained all 4 tiers in all 4 coloumns (4444), then you can get the Master skill box of that profession, which generally applies the best benefits of that class. so in his example, being an 0220 medic, he's aquired Novice medic and 2 skill boxes in two of the columns, forsaking the other columns as he doesn't feel he needs or wants them.
As you gain skill boxes in certain professions, you are granted a combat level. this is a general proficiency in your combat ability. hoe well you actually do in combat is determined by what skills/professions you have as well as equipment and tactics. as you go up in combat level (up to 80) you will gain points in your health, action, and mind pools. up to a max of 3000 Health at CL 80. ******************************** |
