My opinion of what will be biggest letdown of the incoming overhyped games is Irth Online...it's just way too buggy and by what i've heard the beta isn't going on too well and theyre running out of time.

I agree Meskor... heck, they can't even put together decent screen shots, let alone a decent beta! With such a poor first showing to the public, they can't have much chance at gathering a wide fan-base.

Are you saying that irth online cannot compete with the real games? You can't say that about irth online. According to their fans, they are going to be huge and blow away all of the other games like LOTR, Auto Assualt, Vangard, and DnD. Just wait. irth online will be the biggest thing to hit the gaming planet. They are releasing this on July 10th. There are rumors that they might slip this date. But it's untrue, the fans say that the devs are the best in the industry and will out gun all of the other games by releasing it on time. They would never miss that date. Only a bunch of losers like LOTR will miss a release date. |

you obviously hold some grudge. show me some links of anyone saying any of that, i dont think you can. im not an irth supporter by any stretch but anyone with 2 open eyes can see the difference between big companys and a group of random guys trying to make a game. |

You really have no clue about Irth Online if you think its a let down. They have the best dev's i've ever seen and its really amazing whats happening over there. Irth Online will definately compete with any game that comes out in the next 3 years. How can you vote on a letdown when some of the games are in alpha and the one in your own statement only just started beta 3 weeks ago? The biggest let down so far has been EQ2 followed by MxO. |

irth online is a long way from release...many many many months... DnD Online is the one I choose as the biggest bust. It has _so_ much to live up to that there is no way in hell it will deliver on the sheer expectation. I would say auto assault will prove the most 'fun' on release though, ncsoft has really been backing some just _fun_ games lately like city of heroes, and guild wars...maybe not a lot of substance, but they are fun and release very strong with very good stability. perendengue |

Actually Irth Online will easily compete with any big named release. Give it about another year of development and then you'll see. The release date on the main page should be 7/10/06 because its at least a year away from release. |

Wow ..that is quite a claim! It will compete with ANY game that comes out in the next 3 years? So how are they going to achieve this miracle? Are they going to charge a $1 a month with alternating free months?

This reminds me when they were promoting the movie Battlefield Earth (coincidence?) ...all that hype!!! I recall they were already starting to make the sequel to it before the original release. And we all know what happened once the film made it to the theatres ...it stunk to high heaven. Look, you love the game ...you adore the devs. Whatever. If it makes you happy fine just ease up on the gushing. As Jack Nicholson said "Sell crazy someplace else, we are all stocked up here." Boris |

am I not mistaken or is D&D online NOT a true mmorpg... I remember I read that it was more like neverwinter nights or Guild Wars.. shouldnt even be on the list :p _____________________________________________
