I'm sure that the population has lessened since I first played (first 5 months of release).

I've become bored of the current games out there and would like to try out this game again. Thing is I would like to start on a fresh server (or close to fresh).

Seeing at the populations are a little less now, maybe combine a couple galaxies and create a new server to get back some people that have left the game.

Anyways.. any word?

Why do people always want to start on a fresh server? No offense intended to Abdar. The thing with SWG in its current form is that a level 80 can easily group and help out a level 1. As long as the level 1 gets a SINGLE hit on the mobs, he gets full lev80 experience.

No offense taken Kane.

With the new CU and changed Jedi unlock system along with whatever changes they have done that I'm out of the loop on, I think it would be cool to have everyone start and play within these more 'major' new rules.

All levels will be obtained with the new CU, all Jedi will be obtained the new way and so one.

Having the expansions coupled with a fresh 'galaxy' would 100% gaurentee me back for another round no doubt.

I can't see me being alone in that either...

Time for some thrilling heroics.

Good luck.  Send them an email about it.  Maybe if enough people do the same, SOE will just purge all servers as they seem to be experts at overkill.  Ask players about what happens when the devs get enough requests to change somthing. hehe, broken profs go uber overnight, uber profs become useless, and crafted items disappear or get turned into useless fluff.  Ask anyone that had a medical prof when the CU hit.  I'm not gonna rant or flame or any of that as I have in the past.  Had quite a temper.

I just want you to know that you should be careful about what you ask for.  The jedi wanted balance in the force, the chosen one arrived, then in the course of one bloody day, they got the balance they asked for.

Actually...

IF the servers continue to grow at the rate they have been the past week or two then it's possible they'll add 1 or 2 new servers. Lately a lot of servers have been showing 'heavy/very heavy/extremely heavy'. That'll probably drop off as the excitement over EPIII dies down but if it doesn't and if the game continues to grow at this rate they're going to have to add servers eventually.

Not saying it will but keep an eye on it :)

Ah...well when you put it that way, Ab, I can see your point. Interesting proposition...

Completely wrong. As a matter of fact you don't even get full experience you would get for killing something your combat level.

True, but grouping with a few 80's who work well together will get a noob xp much much much faster than they can get it on their own :)

yes but grouping with their own level will always be the most efficient method of leveling. I tried leveling an alt that way with my main. It was rather miserable. I was better off just grouping him with some lowbies and doing it the right way.
