THE ONLY REASON PEOPLE STAY IS BECAUSE THEY MAKE THEIR OWN FUN WITH EACH OTHER. (JEDI VS BOUNTY HUNTER IS THE ONLY FUN)

Why does SWG suck?
1. Swg sucks (Is this for those that are so blinded by irrationality that they can't think of a reason?)
2. Devs suck (Oh no, wait, they can just use this option. )
So there we are. SWG either sucks because, it sucks, or it sucks because the devs suck.

It seems everything 'sucks' nowadays.

Actually almost every change that has been implemented, including the CU, was originally asked for by players. Including JTL AND Rage of the Wookies. Granted they haven't been EXACTLY what players have asked for, because there were so many varied requests. But players asked for changes and the Devs delivered them.

Moral of the Story: Be careful what you ask for.

I don't see how you think it's "work". SWG isn't hard to play. There are 15 new players (real new players) in my guild right now. They all started about 2-3 weeks ago. All of them are already mastered in at least 1 profession and some of them have already finished their templates and are working on getting glowy. As far as grouping you are COMPLETELY full of it there. Anyone can group with anyone. A total noob can group with a CL80. Try again.

I'll agree the CU changed a bunch of resources and crafters have a legit gripe. As do doctors and, to a lesser extent, entertainers. Entertainers have been fixed. Crafters are getting tweaks and who knows what will ultimately happen with Docs. But yes, a lot of classes got the shaft from the CU but most of the changes have been fairly well recieved.

Actually, a BUNCH of people in my guild are folks who have come back to the game who had left PRE-CU. They like it better now than back when docs had god-buffs. They also like the fact that people group now. And, as mentioned before, you're full of it. Anyone can group with anyone. A CL1 utter noob can group witha CL80 and get xp just fine. It's FASTER with like-level group members but it's perfectly do-able to group with people far outside your level. And it's not much less xp either.

In your opinion. Strangely it would appear that most SWG players dissagree with you because the funny thing is that since the CU hit the servers are at all-time high populations. I have not seen them this high ever, and I've been playing for over a year. And I played in Beta and early release as well.

We understand, you don't like the CU. Move on to a new game and have fun there please. We'll see ya when you come crawling back because SWG is still the best MMO on the market.

I cancelled my SWG after the CU not becuase of the CU itself, but becuase of SOE's treatment of the community and the fact that they expected me, a paying customer, to conduct their beta testing. I played SWG for a little over a year before the CU and loved it despite the bugs. But when I'm paying to play a game I expect the developers to properly test for and correct problems in the code as well as gameplay mechanics. If I wanted to be a beta tester I would've joined that part of the community. Dev's, regardless of the company, should not push an unfinished product on their consumers.

The other thing that bothered me was SOE's almost flippant dismissal of complaints regarding the change.

I can respect your reasons for leaving. I have issue with what they consider acceptable code state myself. If I wasn't getting it on the Station Pass I would probably be in your shoes as well or never of started playing it since that was one the biggest reasons I never bought it before it went to station pass.
