The answer to your question boils down to the reasons why people want a PVE only Cyrodill.  To experience Cyrodill you should have to venture into a PVP zone.  That should be the cost of experiencing the content just like to experience the dungeons in ESO you need to group up.  The idea that all content should be accessible to all play styles especially solo really diminishes the purpose of a MMO which is to build communities of players.

I'm a big supporter of dedicated PVE zones and I believe that solo play should be a viable play style but I also believe in having incentives to trying different styles as well and zones dedicated to specific styles of play is a good way to do that.  Adventure zones is another example of that.

Theres already a decent bit of pve in Cyrodiil, I found many chain quests involving  fighting npc factions, rebuilding towns and all the other types i was doing in the pve only areas. The main difference is the quests are only relevant to Cyrodiil and the war and not the world outside and while they are smaller and not as grand they are relevant to the area.

I wouldnt expect much more as Cyrodiil is primarily a PvP area and any PvE added on top of whats already there i would want relevant to the war and whats going on around.

After all, this game was DESIGNED and advertised as a PvP centered game. That is, if enough ESO fans want it. The question is, do you guys want it?

Please post all your reasons why you want it added if you do and/or your reasons you do not want it added.

There, I fixed it for you, you had some seriously odd typos for a post concerning a RvRvR centered game.

I vote yes.

1. It's not much work to add this. Just turn off pvp. So they don't have to devote resources to do it.

2. It only adds something for people who don't want to PvP and doesn't take anything away from the PvPers because it's not like they're deleting the regular PvP Cydoriil.

I only see positives if they were to do this.

Personally, I'm not being anti-PvE in my decision. Perhaps there is a concern for smaller numbers in the PvP fields than what we would see if they did add this. Howso? People are going to go into Cyrodiil eventually even if they aren't fond of PvP..there are shards to be found and ruins to explore...and it is Cryrodiil.

Making the PvP element completely optional could very well empty the PvP version since even strong PvPers might opt for the PvE version in order to hunt the shards and complete whatever other PvE content. Then PvE content wouldn't even be touched in the PvP version ...

I dunno. I just really like it as it is. Don't want to PvP? Keep your eyes on the horizon always and prepare to drop into stealth.

Will you still likely be ganked...yeah. But there is no damage to your gear anyways. Sure, maybe your ego is hurt but remember: You came here to PvE and were likely outclassed PvP wise anyways so you just brush it off and move on....or you own whoever jumps you and discover that you DO like PvP after all.

Edit: And pretty much what udon said. :)

So NO

Actually Cyrodiil already has PvE part of it. But then for that reason I also say more is not required.

I would have thought all the PVP'rs would have loved to have a PVE Cyrdil....

After all wouldn't it be cool to have a Throne in an "After the War" PVE Cyrodil for a emperor to claim after winning the WAR in PVP Cyrodil???

(I know that Martin Septim would have been emperor as victor over the war, but none the less, they could have an alternate palace for the emperors who won in the war to have a seat on the throne as if they were Martin Septim.)

HELL NO. This is a great open wold zone which incorporates PvE with the danger of PvP. If you make one instance PvE then you destroy that as you provide a path of least resistance.

It would make the zone redundant, PVE only people are getting adventure zones and have 3 whole factions of NO PvP  , to demand that they remove a part of the workings of the Pvp zone is-extreme selfish-

The Whole Pvp Zone is designed to be a mix of PvP and dangerus PvE. its content for the PvP centric player not for a PvE centric player.

I believe in life before death... So dont forget to enjoy it while you still can.

3/25/14 3:30:12 PM#29

I still dont get this.... PvPers want to add PvP to all zones..

PvE players want to enjoy PvP zones withouth the constant excitement of assasins behind every wall..

personally, i have learned that most zones work best the way they are intended to..

i think cyrodiil would be just an empty and boring place withouth PvP..

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

I don't think you get why Cyrodiil even exists in this game.  It's to make it meaningfull.  This is like going to the UO boards and asking for a PvE Fel when you already have Tamriel.

Don't get why people are so against it. I love PVP and i'm ok with it, as long as it doesn't interfere with the actual rvr.

Since Cyrodiil is already zoned anyway, all it'd take would be to allow players to choose between their normal pvp campgain and a "public" pve version of it. Al pvp mechanics, like keeps, siege weapons, scrolls, etc are deactivaded, and players can just explore and do quests, dungeons and so on.

It also could be a great way to get pve'ers out of rvr. Many of them will fill Cyrodiil just to explore it and take away the place of people who do indeed want to pvp.

I mean cmon, it's not like ESO is some seamless world that would get more fractured than it already is with this.

If you're going to bring 'fairness' into this (which I disagree with), then in the interest of being 'fair' all of the current PvE zones would have to have a PvP mirror as well.

I don't buy into that sort of entitlement however, so my answer is a flat 'No' on the poll.

For all the talk that goes around about PVPers and their massive egos, I find PVEers who have something against PVP to be worse.

What do you lose when dying to another player? Your items dont even take durability loss. But yet they would stop at nothing to avoid it. Why?

Being reminded that you're not the king badass you thought you were bothers you? Get over it. Everyone dies, you get nothing by excluding yourself due to having thin skin.

People have made plenty of reasons in this thread as to why they don't want a PvE only version. All you did was repeat what has already been said in favor of the proposal without offering any counter-argument based off of what the opposing side presented.

Although that statement contradicts with the above...

not sure if...

Not sure if serious or being sarcastic.

Despite being a carebear at heart, I voted no to this idea.

Sometimes you have to be willing to step out of your comfort zone, and do things you don't really like to do.

PVP is one of those things, I join in on occasion, don't win a lot of fights, but I keep trying to persevere and overcome my personal limitations, because that is was life is really all about. (besides, I've learned to bring friends who are much better in  PVP than me, sort of balances things out)

Like someone else said, MMO's are generally better off when left as originally designed, better for the total playerbase all around.

As also mentioned, this game is fractured enough, no attempt should be made to further segregate the population, people should learn to play together and adapt.

Arrogant, Condescending, Dismissive, Elitist, "Meany", you speak as if these are bad things?

Lore and storylines,  that's what PVE'rs want most in a game, not to be camped by PVP all day long as the ending of their PVE storyline.   Defeating Molag Bal and then having a PVE experience in the most major part of the land in tamriel afterwards is not a lot to ask of PVE, and how does that translate into them having some ego?    I don't get pvp'rs at all, I never cared for PVP, but I never said they couldn't have their fun in a PVP Cyrodil did I....  Its just amazing how crazy pvp'rs get when they feel that no one will be FORCED to participate in pvp with them.  To me that shows more of an ego then anything.

Wasn't it just days ago that PVP'rs were yelling that because of xp nerfs they couldn't play how they wanted to play?   And here to think I actually defended them...

I don't know what your MMO background is...But there were tons of PvE in Tol Barad. For the longest time you could only get the best leather farming spot if you were willing to potentially involve yourself in PvP. It was far more difficult to avoid these confrontations.

In Cyrodiil, however, everyone can sneak and the map is huge. It even dwarf's GW2's The Mists. So in that respect, and with much do respect, I do not think you will be getting camped all day long. PvP is easily avoided most of the time as long as you are aware of your surroundings.

But yes, you will be forced to take a risk, albeit small one given the previous examples in order to see all of Tamriel. \

I'm not even a heavy PvPer...My history is far more PvE oriented..

I just feel for the hardcore PvPers that have to sit through 10 levels of PvE just to get to their preferred content.
