And second, any plans on Daemonic summoning on the end of chaos? I already realize why this would be avoided in general so a simple yes or no will suffice :)

Brent: At launch, no.  But... it is a pretty iconic part of the chaos experience...

If more playable races are added such as the Imperial Guard, would they be playable along side the Space Marines?  Or would they be against each other (i.e would there be factions with multiple races).

how will physic ability’s effect tanks ?? And if I use a physic ability could I end up being sucked into the warp for failing to do it summons correctly ?

David: Yes, we want temporary alliances with another faction, decided at the highest level of the faction.  On the field, it's up to you to work together or not!

 

 

Are there any plans for player housing? You had mentioned calling in vehicles from orbit, possibly having some form of guild ships that carried your specific vehicles with your upgrades and clan markings and whatnot, that also had guild housing on it? 

 

Steven: Absolutely!  Each individual will have small quarters in a ship orbiting the planet.  Squads (groups of friends in real life) will have a small Hall in a ship, and Strike Forces (our version of guilds) will have an entire Strike Force Cruiser to themselves.  These will be somewhat customizable as well.

 

 

 

Possibility of playing as a Grey Knight? :D

David: Maybe, but not at launch. :)

 

 

Are the factions going to be pretty close to mirrored, class wise? Or are they going to be somewhat asymmetrical and play fairly different from each other, while still maintaining the traditional roles required for balanced groups?

 

Brent: They're going to be pretty different.  Obviously there will be some similarities- moreso between Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines- but we're aiming for an asymmetric balance while preserving the feel of each race.

Hello Behaviour Team, and thank you very much for taking time away from your busy schedules to answer the questions of your salivating fans! I'll get right to it:

 

1) You've previously stated that you intend to increase the amount of Factions available in post-release expansions. Is it too early to assume you have an idea what order you'd like to release the ones you have in mind, or do you intend to turn it to the fanbase once you've reached a point where you can begin work on said post-release content?

 

2) From what I've seen, some Ork forces are... expendable, armed with packs of explosives and sent willingly to their doom, so long as they take a few dozen others with them. With your stance on F2P Players having a limited capacity to the game, would you find them a likely fit for such a strategically important role, or if this gameplay style is offered for the Orks, would something like this be well suited for those that would actually PREFER to run into the fray with a bag full of armed grenades?

 

3) Everyone has their Favorite faction, mine happens to shockingly be the Space Marines. But what about you, what's YOUR favorite Faction?

 

4) I'll cease my questions with this: One of my favorite parts during previous Warhammer 40,000 Video Games is the ability to call in a Tarantula Sentry Gun or some similar piece of automated mechanical masterpiece. You've noted the ability to call in Orbital Strikes with Guild Frigates, so are Sentry Guns something I could also look forward to?

I know that the game is being mostly about PVP but I love my PVE content (such as dungeons/instances/raids) will we see any of this?

Brent: Yes you can upgrade weapons, but you probably won't be able to change a weapon into a different weapon.  For example, if you wanted to shoot farther, you would attach an upgrade to your barrel.

1. Will there be systems for transporting finite resources like ammo and medicine for player use, or will there be a player class that can drop infinite ammo resupplies and a healer unit?

2.If there is no quick healing and no health regeneration, how will injured players recover health?

3. Seriously, please give us at least something. We've been waiting for gameplay footage since the end of last month. We're not too picky, promise!

Hola,

 

From the perspective of someone whom has played Guild wars 2 and Dark age of camelot what kind of help are you going to give players if they face a massive population imbalance?

In some other games i have played the population which had the least amount of players would get in game buffs that would last only if their population remained low in comparison to the other factions.

How do you plan to implement fixing ongoing population inbalances?

what the chance of Squat NPC’s in the game ….. :S (every game needs dwarfs right  ) and no there not 100% killed off … just 99.9% dead … if you even have one NPC squat i would be happy

One thing I loved about the tabletop was the ability to customize your own chapters to a certain degree. Are there any plans in place as far as squad specific character customization? I.E. can you customize the look of a squad / outfit / w.e. u wanna call it with custom decals / paint jobs / visible accessories?

  • Will there be a potential for permanent installments for guilds/groups (e.g. A strike cruiser, battlekroozer, etc.)
 
Brent: Yes!  Your Strike Force will own its own orbiting Strike Force Cruiser.

Hey Guys!  Matobar here from the EC Forums :D

I have just a few questions for you guys!

 

  1. Sisters of Battle/Adeptas Sororitas?  Can you tell us any plans you have for them?  How they'll work with Spehs Mahreens and other future possible Imperium Factions?  Ideas for how they'll work?
  2. There's a forum thread that has seen a lot of people asking for Necrons to be included as an NPC race, similar to the 'Nids, instead a fully playable faction.  Can you comment?
  3. A lot of people on the forums are also against fully PvE areas, and feel that PvE should either not affect PvP, or that PvP should be able to break into PvP, like in EVE Online.  Can you comment?
  4. Blood Ravens: You love 'em or you hate 'em.  Do you guys have any plans for videogames' first Spehs Mahreen Chapter?
  5. Will a Chaos player be able to declare allegiance to any single Chaos God?  Or will they be required to serve Chaos Undivided?  If the former, will these allegiances affect gameplay?  Or will they be cosmetic in nature?
  6. You guys have said you'd like to have Pad/Smartphone apps that connect people to the game.  Will there be some sort of minigame people can play, or some other way to influence the actual battles with these apps?

Hello Behaviour!

Getting close combat right can be difficult, at least if you want it to feel right. Space Marine did it very well in single player, but in multiplayer is often came down to a click fest without much control or tactics. That said, the animations were great, and the character animations both in and out of combat were great.

You have said several times that you have Space Marine as a inspiration for the combat. Will you improve upon their formula and somehow make it tactical, skillbased, but still look natural? (I personally have no idea how that can be done, but I wish you guys all of luck! :)).

Will there be use of teleport homers and deep striking to gather your clan for mass combat if needed at a moments notice.

Brent: Most likely they will be in the game... but probably not playable at launch.

 

 

 

2: Could you reward things like transportation of troops?  I know that driving war trukks and APCs may seem dull, but maybe provide an incentive for thoes drivers to ferry troops around the battlefield.  Afterall it may/or may not be a fun job, but its a job that needs doing!

 

David: You can always roll over your enemies!  Brent just wrote this down on his notes to investigate, so thanks for bringing this to our attention.

 

3:how are you looking to add dreadnaught in the game?

Brent: After launch. :D

4 would you possibly have ragdolls in the game?  I know in Mount&blade they had ragdoll physics in extremly high number and were still able to function,  I imagine if implement in your game in the same way, you could get the  same result. 

 

Patrick: AT LAST MY TIME HAS COME!  This is up for investigation.  We have a physics engine, but we're not sure yet.
