The enemy is so dumb! They believe that WE are the enemy! - A famous orc commander.

I dunno if all of you remember Warhammer have destiny points players where able to use to avoid death.

I just think it would be cool to have a variation of this in a MMORPG.

- Destiny points could either refresh after a LONG time, or be per life the player have.

- Destiny points could be activated after a player died(player is not dead(no death penalty), 1 HP, no aggro with the option to appear at zone in or remain where he was) OR it could be an automated feature that happen before a character died.

- Elfs could have only 1 point, hobbits 4...and others races, the stronger they are, the less they have.

The HUGE bonus of destiny points is that you can put MUCH harsher death penalties, since they are a LOT less common...and the stronger races pay a hefty price by having less of them and dying more.

Destiny points ftw =) I have always enjoyed this idea, and it could be a viable perma-death method, or if that's not your thing could simply be used for harsher penalties, but not punish the occassional lag/ out of your control death.

In my opinion, achievement without risk is meaningless. =)
