I think that it'd be awesome if they made a game with a system much like Graal or Zelda games but each person has different ways they attack and depending on their percentiles for that type of attack they'll randomly use their different techniques to hurt each other, IE two guys start brawling in a bar and depending on what martial arts class they choose (or just fighting technique) at the start of the game one might try to kick the guy and the other would like do a judo chop on his leg when he braught it up and certain moves would counter others, and you could even use different techniques of walking like sneak where if your not in the guys pereferal sight than you dont show up on his screen until you make a sudden movement or you attack him or talk so people would be able to do backstabbing all real like and assasins would actually be able to consider themselves assasins not just mage/warriors like some games seem to make their assasins. Just an idea i'd like to see a system like that implimented on a game what do you guys think?

I think it would be real cool to have counter moves.  In DAoC they have conditional styles that are pretty similar but you can only pick one.  I think it would be better to have counter moves that work like a chance to parry, evade or block.

I could dig it if instead of being random the special moves were player controlled.

Scripture is only as ambiguous as our ignorance of it allows it to be.

if instead of being random the special moves were player controlled.

or maybe the moves weren't player controlled but player defined? so each player could choose their own fighting style. so the actions would still be preset but defined by the player once learned.

p.s. yes I know i resurrected an old thread. heh
