This is the largest musical event ever produced in any MMO. It is party rp at its finest. 11 Bands battling it out for 300 gold prize monies and for bragging rights! 500 to 550 attendees grooving to original music and old favorites. Free ale and pipeweed to give it even more immersion.
Lord Of The Rings Online / Landroval server invites any and all MMO players from around the world to attend this one of a kind extravaganza.
Weatherstock is in its 5th year now, and has become world famous with articles in PC Gamer Magazine, and even BBC news in 2011 if you can imagine that! Many other lesser known blogs and game sites have commented on it also. this event is brought to you by the kinship (guild) The Lonely Mountain Band.
There will be 11 bands from 8 servers and from other nationalities competing for your vote.
Its rather easy to attend if you should find this interesting. Of course download the free version of LOTRO, roll a toon on Landroval, finish the intro and head to either Breetown, or the Forsaken Inn at the west end of the Lone Lands. Use /regional chat to ask for help or directions on that day. There will be escorting for all low level toons.
In the hour leading up to the main event there will be a large crowd at the Forsaken Inn gathering with impromtu bands playing and general excitement in chat. There will be a call to head to the summit of Weathertop where we will walk the trek to the event site.
Lag is part of the ritual of attendance. there will be a crowd of 150-200 making the trek. If your computer can handle the walk to Weathertop, you should be fine for the main event. Once there you should settle in and remove capes-hats-special effects and turn your graphics down as there will be hundreds more streaming in for several minutes.
Devs use this event to test the server so lets make this a record setting event!
If you have ever wondered what its like to be among over 500 other MMO players in one setting and having fun while there, give Weatherstock a try! We would love to have you! July 20th 1pm eastern time US. Be There!
(NOTE: keep chat civil and appropriate and in keeping with the G rated atmosphere please. There will be many moderators watching us and they act swiftly if they have to.)

The event is just 15 days away. Would love to have visitors from all servers, and nationalities. Sorry for the double ad. One was moved to here from another forum.

Just a few days now. Weatherstock event will be broadcast live on LOTROPLAYERS;
A reminder if you plan to attend, start your toon on Landroval and get out of the intro. Head to Bree and begin asking in /regional chat for help in getting to Forsaken Inn. Actually any low level can walk to he Inn if they stay on the road. If you want to get into the party spirit come about an hour early and plan for about 6 to 8 hours of fun counting the after party at the Prancing Pony.
There will be announcements running constantly in /regional and /advice channels. Heres to a fun, record setting MMO event!

It was a great night indeed (or afternoon over there at the US)
Congrats for the winner, I voted on them too - with every other band as well, since all were awesome.
At the end the server crashed (I think, based on the massive lag), there were more than 600 peeps on Weathertop :)

Its history and it made history! Attendance was counted at over 700 a new record
prize monies were 1200 gold , another record.
We received donations of 1000 gold which is , to us, mind blowing and a record.
6000 ale and 6000 pipeweed and 2000 tokens were used by our crowd. A record.
Lag? We had record breaking lag too. You had to be there.
11 bands were represented which is a record.
The whole thing including the 1 hour preshow took 7 1/2 hours which is a record.

I'm sure there will be lots of shots and videos later, especially about the bands, but I insert a few here too about the audience, just to show what a party did you missed if you've stayed in the Pony or the Green Dragon for some drinking :)

Edit: just saw your sig on the forum, you're Tinki? You're in the Let's go to Weatherstock song too :)
Thanks for the token refills and sorry that I could only donate 500s, a poor low-level alt on a far-away distant server - who slept under the dust for months... but /yawn and /dustoff for Weatherstock :)

PO_GG I thank you on behalf of all of us who help "put on the show" for your donation! I cant believe we gave out 1200 gold in prizes this year. Thats 120,000 silver in game coin. So every donation counts!
yep, Im Tinki. Vendor extrordinaire.
EDIT: Might I use your shots for future advertising? They are pretty great.

Of course, I'd be honored by it (unfortunately I don't have a clear Tinki one, found only this, with you in the background http://img818.imageshack.us/img818/9148/k6tr.jpg )
It was an awesome event with many great bands and even more great songs. As I wrote before I voted on all of them (and at the Battle of the Bands I voted for the Sméagol tempting Flock of Frodos :) Harperella was hilarious with their introduction). Same cheer goes to Lonely Mountain Band, wonderful job with the organization and logistics.
Thanks for the additional afterwork as well, with the titles. I'm running around as one of the Weatherstock Wayfarers now, suggesting everyone on the summer festival to come by next year.

Well, first of all sorry for the necroing, but the tracklist belongs here, in the Weatherstock thread... Now that the Harvestmath festival is almost over, and soon we'll have Helm's Deep, I thought it'd be nice to listen some summer music (plus, as I wrote in L.Bachus's thread I just missed Archet Aid yesterday http://www.archetaid.com/ and I longed for some music...)
I used LotRO reporter's raw Weatherstock footage, which is awesome. You should watch / listen it as a whole too, since there are many backstage infos and even interviews with bandmembers inbetween the songs.
I wasn't able to find all the titles (some bands haven't announced them during the event and it's not on their homepages either), hopefully Morrowbreeze will add the missing pieces :)
The starting times and the band names are there, and if a title was only mentioned by the hosts from reporter, or by a guest, I put it in with ( ? ).
So, here's the list, enjoy :) (the first block is the intro / warming up concert by LMB, and the end is the winner's extra song)
