I went back to TSW for awhile lately and I realized why I left before.  There are just too may mobs running loose in the game world that  hinder mission goals.  I almost reminds me of the crowded mob situation in Asheron's Call.  Thin them out some!

It is frustrating as hell to have to stop every 20 steps to kill stupid aggro mobs just to get from point A to point B.

Remember that you can also travel via anima well.  Hit /reset, then pick the well where you want to rez.  You can save pax for gear repair by unequipping/re-equipping gear before/after.

the game doesn't favor rushing from one point to another and the world is made to be dangerous

 

what you see as a cons is a pro for everybody that actually play it

 

1 game cannot please everybody many people want opposite things

Yeah I agree with this. I don't want to have to fight through everything just to get to the interesting quest ahead of me...

i dont remember this being an issue for me in TSW, however, i do take issue with any game world basically being a minefield. there's no point to it.

The only way to avoid things is to go on the road and run very roundabout to avoid mobs. It also doesn't help that they run so damn fast and have so much CC, or that combat is monotonous with terrible animations. Honestly, if they made the animations aesthetically pleasing, it might be bearable to fight that much.

I'm always suprised when people complain about a little open world difficulty.  They cried in GW2 about cursed shores and it got nerfed.  Luckily no one is listening to the crying about TSW.  This is one of TSW's redeeming qualities.  There isn't much out there for the player that likes open world PvE solo difficulty.  There are countless easy mode don't pay attention to where you are going MMO's...OP go play one of those.

 

The problem with TSW is the builder combat.  It's not the animations or anything else.  It's that you have to spam the builder skill initially every single time and that gets monotonous.

I stopped playing because the combat was so lackluster.  Hearing you need to do lots of fighting to get to quest objectives just turns me off even more.  In other aspects the game is a gem.

The mob density was fine for group play last time I was in game.  Problem for me is I mostly prefer to solo and most mobs just died too slowly that way and forget about a glass cannon kite build.  

 

So yeah, I see where others would be equally annoyed.  I keep hoping I'll come back and read they tweaked it a bit to make it faster for soloers to wade through.  Otherwise, the game is great, the story is great, the NPC dialogue is amazing, the skill tree is interesting.

I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals.

I never understood why people have problems with the combat.  And I avoid mobs just fine.

 

Well, there was a good point made about spamming the builders.  That does get repetitive.

Kingsmouth is being invaded by monsters from the sea, more than half the town is already dead, their corpses risen to create more monsters.. and you expect to jaywalk happily down the road from quest to quest? Yeah.. I don't think so. Take them out and you'll be crying about Immersion and how it doesn't make sense. You just can't win with some people.

My issue with TSW was the community..

Everyone seemed very rude and anti-social..

It is like nearly impossible to start a party

Have to disagree, Played a few hours and the crowded areas with mobs is so nice to see.

This is also something that I have enjoyed in other games.

That's probably because there is no one in game to kill the mobs.

That's probably because there is no one in game to kill the mobs.

There is jam packed were I play, why do you wanna just lie about a game? dont get it,

Decent MMO.  IMO, it would of done a lot better if they would of created a similar combat system to Tera.  Otherwise, unique and fun world/setting + boring tab target combat = TSW.  Just my opinion.

Yeah, I like a little frustration. It looks better than some goofy looking mob sitting in a random corner, waiting for you to step near it lol. I love the game, but there are bigger problems than this. That Anima well tidbit for example.

I honestly think threads like this, the mindset, is why we get so many so-called wow clones. The little things people complain about that's outside of the MMO norm is disappointing.

 

Also, there are plenty of people playing this game, so drop the hate.

It is a bit difficult to move around from time to time, but not to bad, you have to think about it. But roads are mostly safe. Interestingly enough we see all this people now posting about the skills needed to travel in the zones in EQ1 (and that was much harder than it is in TSW) as one of the best things ever. Strange.

Travel overland in TSW gets a bit repetitive but its not bad.
