AoW runs great without any game breaking bugs. Most peoples complaints are about the payment model, UI and translations. Unless you were being sacastic ?

All those complaints are why the game is broken, a game relies on suspension of belief to get a player into the game ergo a bad UI and engrish translations break this for a game, it isn't a game breaking thing per say but it is a broken game if you cannot immerse yourself in the experience. Having played the game briefly as a full beta player I was also unimpressed by their take on Free2Play, their model takes too many steps towards pay2win and too many away from incentivizing purchases from the cash shop in a way that is not disruptive to the overall gameplay (I'd understand selling currency via the shop or xp boosts but not both, there's a fine line there and once you cross it you're basically telling people "yo dawg, you can spend a looooong time grinding or for the low low cost of x$s you can bypass most of that and get money too!" , one or the other really not both).

Its really hard to beat Nexon in worse mmo publisher company.  I never played any games that is run by SnailUSA.  

It took Nexon more than 13 months to get back  to me on a hacking issue.  I had already forgotten and moved on to a different game.

Their game does not look very good and reminds me of other generic titles I have played in the past.  GPotato cash-shop was blown out of porportion the games not so great and they were finally sold to another company. Aeria sounds like they rely heavily on P2W in their games like another F2P service.

There are some good companies and then there aren't. A lot of them aren't as good anymore like the older ones use to be with the expection of a few today in this sea of over-rated titles. Sometimes the games are good but the companies managing them aren't too.

The question is how long you played the game and how much you know about its mechanic?

TIME PROGRESSION, that is the main money making of this game. Unlike others games where they sell XP Boost and have a clear cap goal. This game is not like that.

In any other MMO games, the more I play, the faster I gain level. Sure if I spend money on XP boost, I can level twice as fast. However if you look at AoW, time progression is solely based on TIME, it means it doesn't matter how much I play, how hard I play, there is a barrier that I can't never be able to cross. The only way to cross is hint in spending more money, not effort or hardwork, but real money into VIP, into buying gold.

But then if you look at gold rewards event couple with lots of events, what do you see? Spend money, spend money and spend MORE MONEY. Simple as that.

And people tell me Snail is a multi-million corporation company and yet give me the same translation level as those cheap F2P games out there with the level of customer services with the same response. You tell me, is it really not just another typical money gorging company?

He didn't admit anything, he simply mitigate the damage on Snail.

Simple as that. What he said about Snail is obviously what everyone noticed just 15 mins by logging into the game and daily occurance in game chat.

However, for a guy who tell me, a crap horse, the slowest horse and everyone hate that horse is a TOO POWERFUL horse because Snail said so. What reaction do you think I would get or you would get if you heard something like that?

Besides that, the hacking incident, from a "multi-million corporation" like he said handle the translation poorly and then response to the hacking incident like "It's none of my business".

to all Snail defenders, and to be clear I nave played this game and never would, just got similar issues with some others cheap junk providers:

by your logic, guys (at least you want me to name every one), if my car got scratched in a public parking it's my fault as I never should park it there?
or if I got abused as girl it's my fault too - I should cover me when go out or, better, stay home.
or if someone take your money but not provide you with service or goods it's your fault, you should never pay them?

Question is: why to be slave of bad company even providing good game? I guess such company need at least to be ignored and not deserve any penny from our pockets.
I would prefer to attacking them in justice but nobody yet created relative legislation.

Few years ago when fake webs started to pop up, I wrote mail to Blizz that I got mail asking me to log on fake Blizzard web , and they should write about it on their forum before some one who wouldnt notice will give info about own account. Like 3 days later they reply, We didnt ask for any account info, have a nice day. It looked like generated mail sent by bot.

 Actually, I don't need you to fix it for me because you omitted the very fact that Snail has logs about transfer of money from that account to another. I also like to thank you for telling us that hiding everything about transfer is considered normal for you.

1, "Switch and Bait" tactic, Snail has done this TWICE. The first is Elite package with permanent horse that said to be TOO POWERFUL, then gave people the worst possible horse after media outrage. Then they took over half a month VIP timer out of Deluxe package and basically force everyone who paid for it to spend all theirs time in BETA TESTING. They said it was "miscommunication" on advertisement, this is a clear case of FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.

 

2. They have a horrible customer service. All their event rewards from in game and from purchase gold, not everyone get it and they would delay responses for months before they said "It has been too long, we can't confirm it". Look at the forum, people keep asking when they will recieve rewards.

 

3. Their response to hacking is "It's your fault, deal with it, not ours problem". People got hack and most of their money transfer to another account, GM basically told them in the face that "not their problem" since it was player's fault despite the hacking come from site affliated with event via Snail. Snail would allow hacker to take your money and would do nothing about it.

 

4. Communication suppression on the forum, if you talk anything negative about the game, GM will either delete your posts, lock your thread or even BAN you for saying anything negative about the game. I myself talk about how horrible their response with the hacking since my friend got hack. The result is 7 days IP BAN.

 

5. The game client is over 1 year old. In fact it has been confirmed to be the same version Snail used to BETA TESTING in Chinese server. All the bugs/errors are the same and they are BETA TESTING it again now with paying customers. This is clearly a milking tactic to release contents as slow as possible while making people pay for their BETA TESTING of the same bugs/errors that they already fixed in China version.

 

6. The game has terrible translation and UI problem. The translation is the same as using Google translator for quick translation. People have been telling them since CBT1, but they think they can fool people into paying for CBT2 with the promises of launch, but then they have "delay launch" later and forced everyone to pay in BETA TESTING. It doesn't take a genius to figure out the game is not ready at all. However, Snail seems to think every players is stupid enough to believe them. Snail never intend to release the game on Feb.1 or mid-March. They just want people to pay for their BETA TESTING with all the bugs/errors that they already fixed in the Chinese version.

 

Just like PWI, Snail will be another company I will avoid. I have set aside my doubt and to try a game manage by a Chinese company, but their actions just leave me in disgust with deceptive market strategy and the way they run thing. Age of Wushu is a decent game with lots of potential, unfortunately Snail will ruin it with the way they do business up until now.

The game is in BETA testing.  shame on you for spending money on a BETA test.  Not sure what else to tell ya fella.

The game is in BETA testing.  shame on you for spending money on a BETA test.  Not sure what else to tell ya fella.

Please read my first point. When I bought Deluxe along with others, Snail clearly tell people it just a small headstart that will take like 19 days. We didn't pay for BETA, we paid for headstart, big different.

Then they delayed launch, delete most post about Deluxe package and even change the conditions on it. Those people who purchased Deluxe lost 19 VIP days and forced to stay in BETA for over 3 months with barely any update.

Thus, we are not paying for BETA, we were forced to stay in extended BETA.

The problem is even by Feb.1 as the previous release day, the game is not ready by the long shot. In fact anyone who play this game now over 3 months after CBT2, which over 1 months after previous release day. They all can tell you this, the game still not ready at all, even at Apr. 10, it will not be ready with the current update progress.

Edit: If you asked people when CBT2 start Dec.20, "Will Age of Wushu be ready to launch on Feb.1?" Most people said NO.

Now, if you go into the game over 3 months later and ask "Will Age of Wushu be ready to launch on Apr. 10?" The answer is still NO.

I did search on Google for quests Cata WoW, and link sent me to gold sellers web. =( Time I realize it, was too late, I got key log (and not used anti spy as though I was vary fast, so no risk).
My account got hacked. I contacted GM, found what going on (few hours later I had guess : it was because of pushing site), so after like 3 days of constant work with GM (I got several issue with my account, one of my alts was deleted etc), Blizzard fixed and restored all! I never got such chance with any other game even for smaller issue, so thanks to Blizz service again!

Why would you encourage someone to post about how much they hate a game over and over again?  Why can't the OP just move on and play something else?  A lot of people enjoy Age of Wushu as a very unique game amidst a see of shitty WoW clones.  It's hardly pay to win, it's a pay to reach the cap a few days faster.  Hardly worth it in a game with offline training.  Age of Wushu should be looked at more as a subscription game due to the benefits VIP offers, but buying gold isn't worth it.
