Edit: GU04 update now live (expect a hotfix as always)
personal notes: empire specific rocket launches are not in yet, so im personally dubbing this GU03.7b Personal Note 2: ALSO.. if you do have performance/frame rate issues, rename your useroptions.ini file, then start the game back up again so the updater can rebuild the game for you.
sorry about the unicorn, it was killed along with a couple of hamsters during the patch, that also includes the Empire specific Rocket Launchers, those at least will be released at a later time. we can never have nice things it seems. Modified the total ammunition capacity of the following weapons: Default capacity increased from 120 to 140 on the following carbines:
Default capacity increased from 180 to 210 on the following assault rifles:
Default capacity increased from 60 to 70 on the following Sniper rifles:
Default capacity increased from 30 to 40 on the following bolt action sniper rifles:
All 75 round LMGs are now the same and have a 300 round capacity.

Aircraft training room would be neat, as I suck terribly at ESF play. I like to think partially because I refuse to invest in A2A/lol pods, but probably majorly due to me flying straight into the ground half the time.

Personally I think this game update is great. I generally like the update with a few notable exceptions (Instant action roulette button, reduced blast radius damage for tank mines/personnel mines, etc...). What I like/am hoping for most is the comment in the update referring to the "mission system." I'm hoping this is referring to the ANT or LLU relic from the original Planetside. That would certainly help curtail the zerg push on Indar and expand the battle to all three continents.
They REALLY need to add some incentives to defending a base, though. It's still far too profitable to take a base, move on, take a base, move on, and repeat as nauseam. Oh well. If they keep tacking some of the more important issues, as I see them, then I believe they will get to this.
As long as this game is free I certainly have the patience to lend them!
If you got nothing else out of this thread at least you got to see attractive women in bikinis. |

I agree with you 100% that they desperately need to provide proper incentive for defending a base. They also need to do some upgrades to base defense so people can;t just roll in a zerg of tanks and ships and steamroll in less than 3 minutes. Turrets defenses need to be upgraded substantially. The gaps in the shields preventing tanks from driving through in the south parts of the base need to be closed up. That alone would make a huge diff. But yes, there need to be XP benefits to defending a base. When A2A got reduced, there were pilots from all 3 factions that either supported the changes or were indifferent. Those that complained didnt make posts that involved pictures/graphs or multiple videos (unlike why Reaver ESF is inferior to other ESFS, the Prowler is OP threads) to plead their case as to why the A2A missles changes were a bad idea. The post-nerf A2A change complaints do not compare to the other whine threads on the offical forums. |
