Anyone heard how many chars per account? and per server? Does a player have a amount of skills that can be learned? Because right now it seems that you can learn everything?

There will definately be many many skills that you can have...I mean if you think about it...taking this from IGN dev Journals:
There are two categories of schools, Adventure and Trades. A character can belong to either or both of these categories simultaneously. A character can only belong to one school within a category at any one time. For example, you can be a Scout, a Weaponsmith/Scout, or a Weaponsmith. You cannot be a Scout/Wizard simultaneously, though you can spend time as a Scout and then switch to a Wizard which would provide you with more advanced skills in both.
So reading that I would think that there are many many skills that you can develop over the games course as you embark down different school paths..

Thats definately an interesting idea...to forget, but what about all the time that you spent developing that school...i think it would be frustrating to just loose it all. Thats why I am glad that you keep your skills when you embark to another school.

I think its good that the skills erode over time. There should be a limit to how far they erode. For instance although I can't do the same skateboard tricks I could do 10 years ago, I can still ride a skateboard. Don't know if that analogy worked but you should never lose the basic skills, just the advanced ones.

In Dev chats they said they would like to have 1 slot for each playable race in each sever (10 playable races == 10 char slots per server), but it's not known if this will cause problems with storage. Skills will be influenced by being a member to a skill guild. If you leave the guild then you will only retain the inate powers learnt from the skill, not the godly given power that is the bonus of remaining in the skill guild. From dev chats they have said it's possible to play the game skills to death and become near perfect in all skills even if you have left the specific based guilds. |

That analogy works fine and I like the idea, it would add a bit of realism, and would prevent alot of tweaking imho Heden |
