forum PVP.. only game at work I can play in quick spurts
I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg |

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results. |

Last place I used to work I know of at least 15 folks who were fired for playing games, and don't think that compaines dont check that stuff. It is easy to track folks using bandwith. I seen people play wow, and eq2 at work. mostly folks were playing minsweeper and solitare. I seen folks fired for even surfing forums at work. When we rolled out new desktops to folks desk we put in an exe that looked like minesweeper and solitare and if somebody used the exe it would lock their desktop out, and notify internet security. We all had to sign an internet complaint document, there were no second warnings. We were in fact at work given bonus pay if we spotted somebody doing something like that and turned them in. In this day and time playing at work for most companies like the largest inusurance company in the us, they take a dim view of folks playing on their pc's and not working. Where I work at now we have to sign an internet complaince document. Things are so strict we can't even use iheart readio apps. Like I said they keep a tight leash on bandwith.

You'd probably like this game then as it has Battle Allocation meaning you have a limited amount of fights / hour. So you end up fighting in quick spurts like you say.
Then you can get back to work (or back to the forums)

Games some people at my work play all day long: 1. Lie and cheat to get promoted 2. Blame others for own failures 3. Pretent to work while surfing 7 hours a day (1 hour is lunch break) 4. Write emails to other who ask you to do something explaning how you are not responsible even though you are.
I wish my company would allow computer games to be played, at least those make me happy. No fate but what we make, so make me a ham sandwich please. |

I honestly don't have time to play games at work. But a few years ago I did, and I spend all that time on dating websites looking chics to score in the evening. It's much more efficient, in the end it gave me more time to game ;-) |

Played Runescape on breaks or lunch sometimes. Can't count how many times I've seen a certain boss with a screen of solitaire up. I say nothing and pretend it wasn't there as I move toward the monitor to talk about something. Someone showed me Bejeweled on a break at another job, that one was fun. I get to work from home now so I don't really do much slacking on work hours, I have lots of time to slack without a commute or getting ready clogging up my day. That saves me about 3 hours a day that were unpaid but part of the process of making it there.

Unfortunatelly.. or fortunatelly I cannot access any games at work... nor game sites. Everything is blocked. I guess it's good as I would be tempted to at least browse forums LOL.

filmoret: One thing I have never figured out is why the game devs hardly ever fix simple problems that arise. It is like they don't care about the pvp community. Nitth: What makes you so sure its a simple fix? filmoret: Because most of them are. Sometimes its just changing a number in a code string other times its creating a few variables. However none of them should take over a few hours of coding. |

An interesting question. I get to work at home, so my work computer is right next to my home system. I never play games while working. I did play DAOC while working from home. I would do crafting. You could buy a zillion supplies, and then just hit the button to craft every minute or two. Mind numbing, but easy when you can just work, and then lean over and hit a button every now and then. Not sure that qualifies as "playing". ------------ |

i do play The West (the-west.net), browser games with long timers are ideal for work, or doing autoquests (once per 30 min, usually i do remember like once per 1-2hrs :) ) on AardWolf mud

And as I mentioned earlier, there is a set amount of battles / hour ( so it limits your non work activity) :) |
