The Fixed Build Mananger and Deck Manager are incredibly unobtrusive and do the job well.

I'm assuming that is some kind of addon. Its besides the point Funcom should supply a first party solution.

Its almost to the point of negligence saying how easy it would be to swap builds in their promo material.

I'm guessing that the animations everyone is bitching about might be a higher priority ;)  The addons work great, just use 'em.

I really disagree with this.  Any weapon can be good, but you can build bad decks if you are not using combos as well as you could.  The freedom is a two-edged sword.  Understanding how combos work is key:

There are also plenty of cookie cutter decks if you don't want to understand how the system works, but understadning builds makes a huge difference in the enjoyment of combat in the game.  And yes, I am separating the combat system from the animations.

Hmm the thread was "what are your issues with tsw"

Now call me old fashion but i think everything should work relativity well by now. i mean its been in the bug tracker from at least alpha 0.7.

People that have issues with the animations arnt playing, or are in the minority.
People that are playing its a major issue for grouping.

But hey, Lets side step the issues.

Okay, you're a developer at TSW with a limited staff and a huge set of features on your list and some bugs.  Several of those bugs have been nicely addressed by the mod community, and there are several major things you need to do to deliver new content.  I can completely understand why they'd choose new content and features over a bug.  It'd be nice, but the addons work seamlessly and simply work.  Problem solved -- you are getting your back up over development philosophy and upset that TSW has not made your priority theirs.

But the problem is, almost regardless of what deck you create, its stil 1 1 1 1 1 2 3 combat.  That is what makes it dull.  Being able to switch out certain arbitrary skills for others doesn't really chnage this.  Yes, I understand you have more than 3 active abilites, but those 3 are still the heart of the combat system.

Great link -- the game has been hopping since B2P, so the thread title is pretty misleading.

They were taking $250 pre orders and had a medium to large team until recently.
The bug was STILL in the game a dozern iterations before launch, and its still there.

What happens when the mod authors stop supporting their mods or they break? Were back to the stone ages.

Its the responsibility of the company to have CORE systems that WORK not the responsibilities of mod authors.

There really is no reason to defend the company on this. They are wrong to have this problem still in the game.

That event looks cool, was that recent? I only ask cause it said published in October 7, 2012, and I'm seriously not trying to downplay it as well, really does look cool.

@OP - Well I can't really put my finger on why I don't play, I like the concept, really it's the animations, doesn't have high enough replay value for me, and just the style of the quests, they are good like tiers and etc a lot better than WoW like quest, I can't stand MMOs with quests like that.

B2P did make me come back for a few and the fact that Funcom didn't want to copy EQ/WOW(W/E floats your boat) was a plus for me, but their way of doing their own thing just wasn't the best for [me]. Still a great MMORPG though no doubt in that.

I might get banned for this. - Rizel Star.

I'm not afraid to tell trolls what they [need] to hear, even if that means for me to have an forced absence afterwards.

P2P LOGIC = If it's P2P it means longevity, overall better game, and THE BEST SUPPORT EVER!!!!!(Which has been rinsed and repeated about a thousand times)

Common Sense Logic = P2P logic is no better than F2P Logic.

Okay, a couple words in your post really lead me to believe you don't understand how the system works.  Words like "arbitrary" lead me to think so.  If your whole deck isn''t working together you've got a very ineffective deck -- that's the full 7 actives and 7 passives (and the aux weapon if you have it).  And If you are only hitting 1 1 1 1 1 2 3, you still don't understand -- there are special abilities like Chaotic Pull youl could be using, Impairs when the moment is right, and then following up with an ability that exploits Impair.   And if you are fighting a certain mob, you may need to requip a completely different deck and possibly a change of weapons.  Your rotation does not make sense to me.

Try doing that in nightmare. It doesn't work.

Basicly What he says is true, With the exception of poping shortfuse or some other buff now and again.

Well that event was BEFORE it went B2P so since then population has even increased, I absolutely NEVER have a problem finding people to play with, most are from the guild and RL friends I play with who live in town.

Also if you want regular events, you need to know where players meet up and on which dimension, best event in my opinion are done by Gridstream

For me personally it was:

- I hated my character's appearance.  No matter what I tried, I just really disliked all the female faces and options

- I didn't like the skill wheel/combat system

- I kept hearing, in order to move on to this zone you'll have to get all the best gear from that other zone.  I can deal with some progression focus but not if it keeps me from going to the next zone.

But really, just the first two reasons above were enough to make me move on pretty quickly.

Character creation was the biggest let down.  There are only couple of decent faces you can come up with but then you realise that in desperate attempt to nor look like an ape...majority of people end up looking exactly the same.

"The problem is that the hardcore folks always want the same thing: 'We want exactly what you gave us before, but it has to be completely different.'

What? The hits lack any impact and it all looks like character is not fighting enemy but waving hands or weapon with no purpose. The annimations just seem disconnected. There is no mysterious brain mechanics involved. Probably some fanboys theory.

I personally think TSW is a fantastic game from beggining to end game. Its a game that i only bought to hold me off for FFXIV so i didnt expect much but boy was i suprised on fun the actual gameplay was. From what i was reading a few days ago the game has grown 400% since the B2P move. The game is less than a year old and still has alot of things that need to be improved but overall its a gem of an MMO. If you give the game more than 30min of your time then you wont be dissapointed i promise you this.

yeah. As you can clearly see, everyone looks exactly the same.. lol.

I don´t know what kind of agenda some people are running here, but it doesn´t work very well.

For me it was the end of main quest chain/quest place, after I did all the quests, I was just exhausted from the feeling that your  evolving has stoped (read: tier 10 gear, the only upgrade you could get rly was from dungeons and feeling pretty weak(say hello to nightmare mobs)...

It was a great game for me, would love to return if they would release twice the amount of the current content. But that's just me, as I said, a great game, but ... :)
