Hype. Means nothing to me. I do hope I get into the beta though. |

If crafting is an important part of this game, which it wasn't for Rift or GW2, then they have my attention. However, I'm still hesitant to get too hyped until I see some meaningful info and gameplay.

I like a lot of what I'm reading about the game, but I, too, would rather have PVP in all zones. At least they could put in a WOW-like flagging system where you couldn't initiate a fight in the two enemy territories unless the enemy was flagged for PVP, but you could, of course, attack them in your own homeland or in Cyrodil. The fact that you can't even visit the enemy territories is a bit disappointing. Almost guarantees I'd roll three characters from the get go. :) As of now, this is my one big beef with the game. Maybe along with "no aggro tanking", if I heard that right.

Originally posted by Sideras also add NO RIVALRY. I just got killed by random nameless dude from some unknown guild from that server we happen to be randomly paired with this week. Theres no real reason to control the map in planetside 2 either, but i find it way way more enjoyavble than wvw as I have rivals and best enemies. |

I expect it to be torn to shreads here like all the past MMO's. People seem to feed on saying negative things about any game. Beta was just annouced and the trash talk started and will continue.
I for one am looking forward to ESO. |

Well, they're making it sound better and better, I was leery at first but everything he's said intrigued me.
Course, that could just be his job. |

basically every MMO that has come out for a very long time has been a failure. As a gamer who wants a good fantasy MMO you go from being excited about new games coming out to just not giving a crap. But this has to spark interest because the game will be based mainly off three very successful single player games that had large open worlds with awesome detail that kinda made you feel like you were in a good MMO. At the same time anyone will tell you of releases that were sure to be great but were a total failure. For me as a long time DAoC player and warhammer fan WAR was a total failure of epic proportions. My main concern is character progression, it was total crap in oblivian, improved in skyrim but still not good as a system for an MMO. They need a LOT of attention there.

Same here. I am trying my best not to get hyped up over TESO but everytime Daoc is brought up, wonderful memories of Pre- ToA come to mind and the years of fun I had with a great RvR game that had the best community ever in an mmorpg.
What happens when you log off your characters????..... |

ha! Yes, one of the main deciding factors for me liking TESO will be the RvR system. I hope it's similar to DAOC. |

Getting a straight answer from this guy is like nailing jello to the wall. I would get annoyed with this shit if I were Mr. Murphy. |

looks like a real PvP MMO, maybe the 1st one after Daoc and Warhammer (gw2 is a casual joke not a pvp MMO). Is coming this year, right?

On to wait for ArcheAge to release in NA... I can't understand why they would refrain from adding OWPvP when you have 3 factions to go at it in the vast open world. At least have another "megaserver" with some kind of PvP ruleset for us the PvPrs. This alone kept me away from LotRO, GW2... :(

Oh geez.. PvP centered MMO, here we go again!
I'll check back in when they add 'open world' guild or player housing. I'm sick and tired of the WoW treadmill that is nearly every AAA MMO developed in the past decade. |

the first mmorpg in a long time to have a traditional end game and giant pvp persistant battleground like DAOC yet people here still bitch and moan. He talks about tons of skyrim elements including how crafting effects play and how you can pretty much custom your character to anyway you like . Some of the people here no matter what any game does cannot please them and just need to seriously stop posting here. This was a good interview with plenty of info yet people are complaining that its not enough info.... Seriously some of you guys here are nothing but buzzkills for real. Give it a rest and wait til at least beta is off NDA and the game is somewhat complete before you complain for no reason other than random tantrums on this site. I complain and moan myself about games here to but man at least i wait until they are released to do so. Good interview with lots of info regardless of the naysayers here and I enjoyed the podcast.

One ray of hope for me is when talking about factions and guilds. Anyone else pick up on the lack of confirmation about being able to join another faction's guild? If I were to hope beyond hope it would be that they are introducing a way to leave your faction and join anothersomehow, maybe some sort of betrayal quest or similar system to choose to join another faction...or perhaps some sort of spy system....lets hope as the rest of the game sounds like it could be cool, just the faction restrictions are really bugging me. Sort that out and I will be a little happier... |

Originally posted by Maelwydd They have asymmetrical factions for a reason. I did battle with ignorance today, and ignorance won. To exercise power costs effort and demands courage. That is why so many fail to assert rights to which they are perfectly entitled - because a right is a kind of power but they are too lazy or too cowardly to exercise it. The virtues which cloak these faults are called patience and forbearance. |
