What does this mean for a noob like me? I am still largely confused by this game...

Hopefully this "internal release" will include a mouse invert option otherwise I still can't play this title. Game truly looks promising otherwise.

it's not a internal release, it's a release of second set of internal force. when you join a school, you get first set, now they going to release second set. So you need to lvl up your first set to level 30 before you can study your second set. In future there will be thrid set internal, fourth set internal and so on.. the higher the internal, the more hp, more attack power, more defense. get it?

Is it impossible for a new player to catch up to those that have gotten their skills so high? Is there not a cap? Former xFire user... I only wanted a game tracker and messenger, not a screenshot taker, video recording, broadcasting piece of bloatware. |

Originally posted by fldash From what I understand you can accelerate your cultivation thru team practice but there is a limit to how much you can do per day. I think you can also spend unbound silver to "practice martial arts" which is another cultivation method. Not sure how much these accelerate the cultivation of individual skills but I think it does speed it up. And I believe the level cap on all skills is 36. |

The max for internal is 36, you can catch up. When you see player spiritually balanced, it means they reached internal force cap.

Originally posted by fldash Internals are not as simple as flat levels, they appear that way at the moment because most people have one. But eventually you collect multiple internal's that you can use for different situations. In addition you can collect internals from other schools and this ties into another system called meridians...which are another way to boost your stats if you have multiple internals. So...is it possible for a new player to catch up, If two people joined 4 months a part and both gathered exp and did tp and stayed on cultivation enhancement points the first one to join would always have more tools in the tool box but the second one would be able to compete put perhaps be less broad in abilities. |

Sadly, this has made me uninstall the game. I liked PVP in the game but it just follows usual grinding/raiding template with focus and dependency on levels and gear. It is only creating huge disparities between new and older players. Yes, a new player can catch up but and I am not going to grind for months just to be "competitive" :/

Originally posted by Gdemami Sadly, you made your decision a little too fast. Name me one game that there is no disparities between new and older players? Even playboy online requires you to grind to level up quality of your girls. |

I never said there should be no disparity but it is about concept. The game is adding "more levels", making older characters more powerful. I am probably spoiled with playing EVE for so long but still, this concept isn't appealing to me, especially for PVP focused game. |

It is certainly not impossible to catch up and no you don't even need to "grind" months to be able to catch up. This game comes down to skill, I know this since I've been able to easily take down many characters that are higher level then me, it comes down to reading up on schools and knowing what skill set to use against more difficult opponents. Be smart about the skills you cultivate. The only thing older players have, is a head start. I found this with EVE as well, I started quite late into the game, I don't mean a month after beta release like this, more like 4 -5 years after release, but after reading as much as I could about the game, I was able to catch up to other veteran players. Age of Wushu is no walk in the park for users expecting an easy to learn MMO. That being said, I'm looking forward to start cultivating the 2nd internal skill. |

Upon completion of the task, Mysterious Butterfly-controlling Medicine, the player will then be awarded the Six Directions Manual Intermediate Script. This script for the 2nd School Skill will allow the skill to be cultivated to a maximum of Level 30! For the first 30 Levels u dont need any Honor Token.^^ |

well 1>30 is easy to do in 2 weeks atm can catch easy, in future when they release 3rd and You will have to learn 3 of all clans, later 4th of all clans etc etc till 10 from each clan then it will be hard, said it many times, this gme is as casual as 9D, wanna be strong have to spend time on it, if dont want then wait for PW swordsman online which will be P2W like their other games |

Yeah, this is exactly what I mean. Being killed in single combo just because the other player has more cultivated points accumulated is no fun PVP in my book. |

this isnt dota or GW2 or anything else like that, few guys on AoW forum cry that they want equalized fights only coz they are lazy, You need train if You want be strong simple people should be happy its not grinder like 9D |

I do not understand the crowd that doesn't want character advancement. I mean I can understand not wanting to be useless but obviously someone who puts four months into it should be better than someone who just logged in. This is true in Eve, this was true in UO, this is true in almost any mmorpg. Maybe a RTS game or FPS is better for you if you don't want character advancement. |

Originally posted by steelwind Totally in agreement. It messes up my timing, something really bad in an action oriented game. It's not that difficult a piece of code (from what I understand), but apparantly it's not something common in Asian games? If you are waiting for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one. |

Originally posted by Arglebargle To me this is a red flag that if something as simple as invert mouse isn't included (looking back at old threads this has been requested for months), what else might be missing or unfinished? It needs to be understood that any player that normally plays inverted, will not be able to play this game. As most will not reprogram their brain and years of playing inverted for a single game not to mention any other games they are currently playing inverted as well. |
