This week saw the closure of GuildProgress, a third party website which tracked the progress of raid guilds in defeating specific raid targets. This was x2 and x4 raid bosses in instances, contested zones, as well as contested enemies out in the world such as avatars.
Because SOE has yet to provide specific enough data through its Data Feeds API to track specific kills to specific guilds, GuildProgress was an entirely user-submitted operation. Were everyone was as honest and forthcoming as Lance Armstrong, this wouldn’t be a problem. However some guilds are made up of (or led by) less-than-savory individuals, the operator of GuildProgress faced an onslaught of e-mails filled with claims and counterclaims challenging the legitimacy of even the most straightforward kills.

info from SOE
we hope to have an unexpected addition to the February Update!
Guilds, take notice! We are introducing Guild Achievements to track and reward your guild’s accomplishments.
In the new guild Achievements window, we list raid targets and their point value and we will track — including time stamps down to the second – the achievements for your guild.
And if your guild wants to participate by including its achievements in our data feed, the information will be shared with the community at large. We are working on solutions for displaying the data and sharing this news with the fan sites.
Sincerely, as always,
