Violence is a part of human nature. It has always been and will always remain.

My ancestors did a Holocaust, and none of them grew up with evil video games or TV.

Say parent groups, the Congress, the NRA, etc. successfully convince the game industry to cut out the violence.  No more exploding heads.  No more three foot tall blood spurts.

How does this harm you?  How are you, personally, harmed if the game industry cleans up the gore and violent imagery?

Unfortunately this is very correct. Homo Sapiens are the dominant species on planet Earth because we slaughtered to extinction our nearest species relatives centuries ago. Once a species does that it defines it forever.

They can claim Video Games cause violence all they want. Ancient societies all through history prove video games have nothing to do with it. We have had dozens of Empires rise and fall, they all rise to greatness, they all decay, and they all self-destruct. This is what is happening to America and most do not want to admit it. America is the new Empire and because of Technology we are simply progressing through the "empire lifestages" faster than previous Empires, that's all.

Take away all the video games, all the movies, all the questionable entertainment. Then lock up all the "mentally ill". Shake well.....

..... within a week this whole planet would be at war. I guarantee it.

Im 19 turnign 20 in march and my first Rated M game was Diablo 2. In no way did it make me want to pick up a sword and chop peoples heads off. I also grew up playing GTA and Halo at friends house and since I grew up in a stable home with parents who taught me right and wrong I knew it was wrong to kill people. 

Video games and Violent one in particular are a stress reliever for me. Without them I probably would have hurt somebody. Before video games were to blame it was movies and music before that it was books. its just an endless cycle of scapegoats.

I keep telling people that war, anger, violence, ect ect. Is human nature. We are ANIMALS just like the mountain lion. We kill over territory and mates. But our highly developed brain adds religion, patriotism, love, and culture. Video games dont make us violent its our nature. Some people are just more easily controlled by that. The real issue is that america has poor mental healthcare. Look at all these people comitting these acts they either are mentally ill or grew up in a poor home which in turn caused mental illness. 

Not to get into a political debate since it isn't allowed here but use your rights to call your congressmen and speak out for all persons rights, This pass the buck BS is doing nothing but getting us deeper in trouble so speak out in support of someones rights even if it doesn't include you.  Everytime a politician claims Guns are the problem and you say nothing then they go after Video Games and you're fired up.

and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a catholic.

Then they came for me,
and there was no one left to speak for me.
