1. Implement Looking for Dungeon tool. The fact that there is no such tool right now is not cool. It's simply stupid. 2. Make the world more varied and interesting - is it really only centaurs and drakes all the way to 80? After a while killing the same 10 types of mobs is just no fun. 3. Make the character progression more deep and interesting. What's there at 80 for a player who's not interested in pvp and/or meaningless grind? 4. Do something with all those barren zones between level 20 and 80! DE there are totally pointless and often simply undoable. Either add classic quest system (I know, I know, bad idea, but what else?) or improve DE scalling for solo players. |

Nothing will bring me back now as it's abundantly clear that ANet are no longer calling the shots, NCSoft is. If I could go back in time and make a change at launch though it would be for them to hire a proper team for class balance instead of the two (TWO?!) incompetent devs they have now... if warriors weren't one-shotting things (steel cannons) and eles weren't constantly getting one-shotted (pure glass with no cannon) the game might have even had a chance as an e-sport.

Something to do after my World Explorer/personal quest/dungeon runs/full exotic gear grind is done. Don't get me wrong, I think GW2 is a great game, but I the PvE content is finite and the PvP is not to my taste.
And with a B2P game, how can I be an ex player? There is no barrier to me logging on after being gone for 1 or 2 months. I just lack the motivation. |

Dungeon tool and more skills. Coming from GW1, GW2 feels damn lacking and limiting in terms of build possibilities.

SPVP warzones with different objectives, which grant experience for character leveling.

Ugh, nothing. I have the same idea on games as I do exes. My motto is, they are exes for a reason. I don't like to be so hard-nosed about it but I consider it a protection mechanism from being boinked twice. When I leave a game I never return. It's serious bidness. |

It's amazing how fast people turned on this game. Took about 10-11 months before we started seeing these types of threads for SWTOR. http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/366922/poll-Which-top-feature-to-get-yourself-interested-in-the-game-again.html

Some sort of progression systems. Which I hear might be coming. Anything to make the game deeper and endgame worthwhile.

1) Competitive PvP, not the casual DPS fest that is now. 2) Opvp or WvWvW with a real meaning or objetives, Like warhammer war campaign as an example. Again, At the moment is just a casual ¨follow the zerg and AOE¨ Battlefield.

On the same boat, need meaningful PvP. WvW was fun at first but once you realized it's true form it got boring real quick.

Customization and Proggression and upgraded crafting. That's now 1 new feature but it's needed, also need to make the game more sandoxy.
- New character customization options, hair, face etc. - Guild progression. - Guild Halls. - Ships. - Guild crafting. Craft furnitures, ships etc. - Personal Instance that let you customize alot and add trophies etc. - Naval warfare. Use your ship. - Plant seeds in Guild Hall and Personal Instance, that you later can harvest. - WvWvW progression. |

Originally posted by fat_taddler Cool story but how about sticking to the topic instead of taking shots at the game.. I stil play but I know why a lot of my friends left and that was because WvW felt meaningless to them as well as the classes felt less diverse without roles and skill customization (also MOP came out and they flocked back to their comfort zones). A skill pool for the weapons would be a great start and some more mob variation would also be nice. Maybe a reason for people to run the dungeons again because I for sure haven't seen them all and it's a PITA trying to get a group. Also since they aren't a gear treadmill game, give the players a reason to play after 80 other than legendary grinding. RIP Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan and Paul Gray. |

Get rid of the pathetic idea of reducing your level. Players who have played enough to get to a higher level should not be punsihed because they have gone to some lower level area of the game that they have never been. I have several level 80 chars and the most I have discovered is around 47% this leaves over half of the game that I will probably never play because of this stupid idea!

Originally posted by zastroph I think that is the best feature of the game. Even Rift has it now.
You just want to go in and one shot everything. If they don't reduce your level then there will be power leveling again and even people who will pay to get that done. It happened in GW1 and that is why I hope this feature NEVER GOES AWAY!!! |

Returning to what they had the first month of the game. Engineer would still have the same bugs as it does now but at least the damage would compensate for all the misses. And there's the loot issue. I think the loot is the biggest one for me since Nov prior to the 16th the loot has been terrible for most of the open world space. DR just doesn't work and we're seeing the problems it creates for developers. I'm wondering who over there is actually a gamer and remembers that some companies had to close completely down because they were too stubborn to remove DR claiming it hurts bots when everyone knows that's not why it's in there and that it's no more effective against bots as swinging a billy club against an enemy with a bazooka.

I would like to see more abilities per weapon to give us a bit of freedom in mixing and matching. For example, 6 MH abilities and 4 OH abilities. The player then chooses his/her "loadout." Perhaps I'm alone in this, but I felt so . . . cookie-cutter when playing. At least this way would preserve what ANet was trying to acomplish while making character customization a tad more dynamic.

I look for mmorpg's that my character can make a difference in the virtual world and a sense of progression even when I am not playing the game. GW2 to me is just another typical mmo with no real meaning to play for me. However, I am a old school mmo player and look for complexed mmorpg like Eve, AO and Ultima. Apparently mmo's today are nothing but lobby and instant gratification games (but unfortunately, this is what the majority of gamers want these days). It doesnt mean they are bad, but I just rather play something old than the new mmo's we have now.

Hmm. State-of-the-art cross-server LFD perhaps. But initially I was mostly looking for some interesting RvR and now I think WvW is broken beyond repair. While not being bound by "trinity" in PvE is generally fun, in WvW it simply means you want bigger zerg and superior glasscannon firepower. When focused, you have only so much time to live and generally no amount of group coordination can save you. Before I quit, I briefly joined <Ruin> on Desolation EU. We had TS and great leadership and mostly just steamrolled even in tier 1. And it still was boring as hell compared to WAR. Well, at least for me. MMORPG genre is dead. Long live MMOCS (Massively Multiplayer Online Cash Shop). |
