The only connection is that WarZ is a quickly thrown together rip off of DayZ.

DayZ: An unfinished creative mod for a mediocre game running on a stiff engine WarZ: An unfinished ripoff of an unfinished creative mod for a mediocre game running on a stiff engine while running on a mediocre engine with a cash shop and a shady developer.
I would say yes, theres a lil connection "Some of the less objective people tend to be close-minded though and basically disregard any possible shortcomings that gw2 could have." |

Day Z was a mod to the game Arma 2. Due to Day Z's popularity they tried to make a stand alone game called War Z....but that seems to be having problems right now. Very unfinished. |

DayZ was an innovative idea from Dean "Rocket" Hall that he thought up while in the military. WarZ was a quick moneygrab based on Dean Hall's ideas that someone took and ran with, and claimed they thought of first (yet had 0 proof otherwise). It's interesting though, because Rocket never wanted the game to be involved with money in the first place, he always stated it would complicate and worsen things, eventually though he had to come down from this position. He also aims for the standalone to be "cheap". Then you get another "developper" come along and try to benefit from it, and it goes to shit. The WarZ developper was charging for rental items (pay to win) in a survival game, it goes against it's own theme. The WarZ has systemic problems, from development down, it's beyond ludicrous. It honestly has semblances to Tesla and Edison for me, though I expect that history will not repeat itself in this regard. I feel as if the good guy will win this time. |

The War Z is pretty much a moneygrab off of the idea of Day Z. Thrown together and made to quickly cash in on the zombie popularity ( games, TV, Comics, Movie). And it pretty much has worked. It has recieved alot of backlash lately, but overall I bet it has been profitable for what little was put into it. |

No game is using Arma3 cept Arma3. Which I believe has not released yet.
Warz uses its own engine which is nothing like Arma2. |
