Ok did not know that. My bad.
The correct way to do it is still to submit a ticket with feedback (or post it in a non "i am leaving" way) instead of breaking the forum rules.. and then break them again two times just because "I am a special snowflake and EVERYBODY needs to know my plight".
It is not like the OP got a perma-ban or anything. Just a slight slap on the wrist saying "dont do that again" This have been a good conversation |

To be honest and realistic, no one really cares why you leave. Those threads are stupid and utterly ridiculous; you either write a thread, that doesn't have the word "Leaving/quiting" and point out what is wrong with the game, or you just leave without letting everyone know what were the reasons you were leaving. They had the right to ban you for posting something that was already being deleted twice. |

Originally posted by Marcelino there are certain rules, like everywhere. gaming companies do not like "good bye, i am leaving" posts. they never did, they have been deleted in nearly every game.
so, welcome to online gaming kiddoe. uh and if you are just here to tell us you are leaving let me ask you one question:
why didn't you just leave? would have spared you alot of time..... ^^ [mod edit] "I'll never grow up, never grow up, never grow up! Not me!" |

Let me just say this, and folks can check my post history about ea/bioware. I don't care what game company you post this in. The going away threads are always deleted. Go try that over in LOTRO and see how quick you get panned by sapience and get personal hate tells for him. Just saying the going away threads in most games are always moderated. Now you can come to this site and post them and hope you don't get burned. Anybody knows this is common practice on just about any official game forums out there. Oh try it in eq2, and see how quick they deal with you, after you get dog piled on. |

I'm pretty sure it's against the forum rules to post "i'm quitting" threads, regardless of how well-meaning they are. And to be fair, they do get old after a while.

Originally posted by Marcelino Then create a post asking for advice on how to approach your class or whatever else your problem is. Creating a "i'm quitting" thread under the guise of looking for discussion with players is counterintuitive, unless the threat of quitting is just a bluff in the first place. |

Originally posted by Onomas Pretty much right there don't like the game don't resub pretty much simple as that don't need to go to an official form and give your rant there. We are all mature adults. People who say they are just giving their opinion about a game and aren't trolling are just kidding themselves. When you unsub from a game it asks you why you are leaving survey right there and then where you can type up your post and it can be read through the right connections instead of some forum sob story that will just entice people into an opinonated flame war. |

Originally posted by Ouriel I do care. I don't care the person, cause I probably don't know him/her but I do care about the reason. I don't want anyone to leave a game quietly, I want them to shout the reason for leaving and I also want to make my own mind if it 's warranted mourning or not. Every "I'm leaving" post is an indicator to me if I should for example continue to pay for the service these gaming companies do or not. |

possibly he wants to compare why other folks are not enjoying the game, and see if they are for the same reasons. If that is the case, all he has to do is look at the last 6 months in these forums and they are filled with many reasons why swtor is not a quality game. |

That's how they treat people there. It's not limited to "Good Bye" threads. You can't post anything there unless it's a love letter to EA or as a member of the LGBT community. Move on and give your money to someone else that doesn't treat you like dirt. |

I wish the mods on this site would start booting the trolls. There's some posters here who have been trolling obsessively for over a year now and everything they say is negative. For a genre known for it's community you'd think the mods would be more proactive about weeding out the bad apples.

Originally posted by Camaro68 So basically, you want to censor everyone that doesn't agree with you? Because that is exactly what the definition of "troll" has morphed into. This isn't RL (almost a crime to think differently), this is just a website. Besides, why even come here if everyone is going to "OMG, me too!" each other to death? Grow some thicker skin, it's just thoughts put into words. |

Personally I played SWTOR I advise staying away from games created by BioWare, and EA for the most part if you want a game like Dead Space 3, or another title for example there are free ways to play it Friends, download a Trial of the game, or check YouTube videos do not pay $50 for their crappy titles. SWTOR is a big let down always has been I am not shocked that their forum moderators would censor posts but I can say that I logged into the SWTOR game and it absolutely sucks feels like world of warcraft add a couple of thousand lines of code do some crappy space combat, or something not much difference to me. Customization sucks and for a MMO developed in its time I give it a huge thumbs down we need actual people who have brains to lead a MMO in development these days. Censorship? They can censor their own forum, but without good forum security they cant stop troll posters, and they can't stop search engine querys with bad posts about how bad their game sucks or why a person is leaving so use sites like PasteBin, and other free posting sites post your post multiple times once to each service give it a week or so and Bam your post on top of all search engines including your MMORPG.com posts anyone searching for keywords like or questions about does SWTOR suck, is it a good game you do it correctly it will be the first post on the search engine, and when censorship happens I generally give them a negative standing for it. Personally I hope EA goes down the drain I remember the days when titles were somewhat good but EA destroys everything and releases bad games now. |

The forums have always been heavily moderated from the start. The amount of moved, deleted threads you get on there is an absolute joke and just further takes away from whatever they have left of that awful community. Sadnly, you should be glad it got deleted, half the replies you'd get would be blind fanboys pointing their self righteous entitlement finger at you saying nobody cares and you're not entitled to anything.
PS: Submitting feedback when you cancel only works when the people managing the game aren't a bunch of deluded rtards. After the exodus of players giving dirty man birth to the TORtanic, the only feedback EA somehow managed to get from that is that their subscription model is outdated and that people want a free option. Now unless you put "there is not enough p2w cartel market items" as your reason for quitting, you might as well just tell why you quit to a brick wall because EA won't listen. |

Official forums are a joke, only shills left so any chance of critical and productive discussion tends to zero. Just dont bother with SWTOR any more, its pretty certain now that game is "as is" and absolutely nothing will change becuase of skeleton crew game is running on (hint: WHO). |
