NCSoft has released an epic new video that gives a bit of a peek into the minds of developers as they plan for the future of Lineage II. 

This eight minute movie which combines the ever-epic battle style with the new server wars concept gives us a look into the minds of the developers and how truly grand Lineage II can be.

We are proud of the 10 year history of Lineage II and there is plenty more history in the making as we advance into the future. A close viewing of the movie reveals not only that rich history but also insight about what is yet to come.

No, Lineage Eternal is a somewhat forced perpective game, sort of looks like a more "epic" diablo" of sorts.

I wish I could have played during Lineage 2's prime as I've heard some pretty awesome things about it. 

It was my first mmo. And though ti wasnt' "quite" what I thought an mmo was going to be I managed to play for about 4.5 years.

Though I must say that their movies were always a bit more epic than actual game play ; )

Still, I did have some incredible times.

Interesting if they are.

Last I heard they starting back on Lineage 3 developement last year. Have not heard anything since.

No that's just internet rumor and from what I can see it only exists because someone said it and then other repeated it.

A wikipedia article indicates that lineage eternal is a sequel to the original lineage. Given the fixed camera that makes some sense.

L3 was killed due to the TERA debacle back in the days (2007). I think Goddess of Destruction (Decemver 2011 expansion) is as close as L3 you'll ever see....

Lin][age Videos always have been outstanding for their time, be it CGI or in-game.

Despite the husk that is the game this video blows me away.

So much detail and effort put it and i like the mix of using game graphic assets for video making rather than an overblown full CGI trailer.

Don't get me wrong i like my CGI dose, like the SWTOR or WARCRAFT intros, but seeing something in "game" graphic with so much detailed animation and interaction is kinda exactly what feels more "right" than a 5 minute cgi which bears zero respeblance with actual game graphics.

Lineage II is NOT MADE for any kind of pre-fixed combat system. The whole game is build around clan(guild) PvP and territory control. No factions but the ones the players make. The idea of racial combat won't happen since some races lack certain classes below 85 (dwarfs having no healers/mages), while other races have all available (humans having more than one of each class).
