If they end up being a mess it means less people returning for the next one . |

I am not really impressed by the event either. The dungeon is great fun and the best part is that we didnt get people who already knew all the content, we had to figure everything out for ourselves like the good old days. :) I wont comment on the new zone yet, it felt like they put up a rather limited version of it this weekend and will add the vistas and more POIs later, but I might be wrong. The day 1 questchain was really buggy and only the mixing potion part was fun (ok, bribing the quaggan had some points too). The events in LA was really small and they really should have turned the cap down to half that day and had twice the number of overflow servers, with all eles throwing a firework in the head of the crabs even my computer got hickup, and that never even happened in WvWvW. They could either have skipped this part or made it a huge battle, now it felt rather poor. ANET can do a lot better as they showed this halloween. But as I said, the dungeon is really fun and it is the most important addition here. |

Originally posted by nationalcity Actually, people zerged it for 2 hours but that got pretty boring eventually. We still have half an hours overflow though. I think he meant that there are almost no DEs is active right now which meanns the zone indeed feels rather dead. Adding another rarity is hardly comparible with all Wows raid gear tiers. And we have no clue yet how grindy they will be, so far have we only see dungeon rewards and a few dungeon drops. If you can craft them similar to the current mystic weapons or similar it wont be a huge problem. If getting a armor set is as much work as getting a single legendary weapon on the other side, then we do have a problem but lets discuss that problem when we see it instead of whining about stuff we have no clue about as seems to be the custom here at times. |

Think this is one of the more 'someone needs to QA this' type of content patch really. It is a 'mess' in that lots of people got stuck / wandered off because most of the quest chain / DE just didn't work. Wonder why there seems to be more haters on the internet? Read this by an actual marketing guy to find out why. |

Originally posted by GwapoJosh It seems to be fixed now . Finally managed to advance beyond Noll . But it is a bit late for a weekend event . It really needs to be extended by a couple of days . |

Originally posted by jpnz I went to Rift but I will try this content tomorrow . The extention needs to be 48 hours given the amount of time its taken them to fix it . Also I hope before the next event ( christmas most likly ) they make sure they get it right like the Haloween one . |

I like the haters logic People that like the game are drinking the ANET Cool-aid and praising its gospel People that do not like it are the sane and oh-reasonable ones...
It makes me remember the whole atheist vs theist debacle
ps: I dont play the game anymore, and it has been a long time by now nor I am a theist "Some of the less objective people tend to be close-minded though and basically disregard any possible shortcomings that gw2 could have." |

Originally posted by dinams Don't lump me in with the haters I've already said several times this is a good game but the event has been poorly executed . It is possible to like a game but to dislike aspects of it you know . Does that make me an agnostic ? lol |

I agree, total mess. Logged in yesterday the event was way to laggy to even move so logged out after 1/2hr. Today an npc was broken half way into the 1st event. I scrapped the idea of running in sequence and spent about 15min at the new isle, looked ok just ok.

I like my Samsung Galaxy S3. That doesn't mean I don't have issues with it; battery life for one. I like Planescape Torment, that doesn't mean I don't have issues with the awful game mechanics. Both of those quests or scavenger hunts or whatever you want to call them are bugged..
The Hylek and Largos are missing on my server, along with Noll..
The Island zone, however, is pretty cool looking, but once you explore it there's not much to do.I think people are scrambling around on it expecting to find something 'event filled',but really its just another zone to explore it seems.Hardly found anyone doing the DE's,most are just exploring or doing the jumping puzzles.
Unless stage 3 opens up something more to the island, Im just seeing it as "just another zone of nothing much" |

one time event that is unplayable. unfreekin real.. i even tried to fraps the event yesterday for those that missed it, but i think i would have rather missed it. it was so bad i didn't even post it to my youtube channel. only bright side i can see to this whole thing is that i don't pay a sub. anyone else remember Anet saying, "we wont put out anything until it's ready." ??? Experience is the best teacher.. if you can afford the tuition. |
