"But it was so artistically done..." - Grand Admiral Thrawn's final words |

Originally posted by superniceguy Wrong. Look at this this way. For us who subscribe the game, price of subscription is going considerably down because of 500+ CC we are getting back. From what I see on forums that is one of the major reasons that players will stay subbed instead of going F2P. When F2P will go life price of my sub is going to go down below $8 - that's almost negligeble. And I am going to buy stuff from Market, pets, vehicles, armor, boxes... so it is actually pretty good insentive to stay subbed imo. Edit. Additionally I am one of these weird people who don't believe everybody should be getting everything for free. Edit 2. This F2P model is targeting imo people who want to do a story and ocassionally PvP and FPs, for first time players so they can enjoy the story from 1-50 with assumption that they will sub if they like it, and for these players whose time is not allowing them to log in regularly and prefer to pay for weekly access to warzones etc if they choose to. It is definitely not model for people who want to play all content for free. That's not going to happen.

Sounds like Bioware is trying to have an NGE of it's own. Some of the store items remind me of the TCG loot cards. At least you don't have to "gamble" to get these. I got a mail from BW that said I have some coins waiting for me. But it's pretty lousy of them to make me resubscribe just to get them. Money is not the issue, of course. It's just a lousy decision, in my opinion. Good luck to those who play. The TCG did teach me that there's a demographic of players who will fork over tons of cash to have digital shinies. If that turns a tidy profit for BW, maybe you'll get returns in the form of the content you're craving.

A quick observation from the SWTOR forums in regard to the FTP xp nerf: The same group of people who were saying that people "rushed" and capped to level 50 "too" quickly in January (and often called the people who capped easily "no lifes" and "basement dwellers") are now saying that the XP nerf is no big deal because levelling is too quick in SWTOR anyways. |

2 questions:
1) Where can I see the prices for everthing that they plan on putting in the store? 2) How much will it cost to permanently unlock the maximum character slots?
I've never wanted SWTOR to fail. Their money grabbing F2P model makes me hope they indeed do continue to fail. I bought the game for full price on release and get basically nothing in return for that.
