Originally posted by jacklo I sincerely doubt that since Henrik has never done anything programming in his life. And whatever he touches will rot, so, uh, no. MO going bankrupt is a sign that Henrik's dad doesn't share his son's learning disability. |

Originally posted by FastSloth I am a SW developer and I can tell you that gaming development is hard, very hard and MMO development is even harder. So I am sure whoever coded MO can programm but that does not mean you can properly code a commercial MMO. MO, from what I have experienced, seems to be developed by people who have little gaming development and then obviously you will get the results which are quite disastrous. I think the team simply underestimated the huge effort it takes to create an MMO. |

Originally posted by Yamota I am a SW developer and I don't see why you'd need a software developer to figure out that Henrik is not a programmer. You just look at what he says he does (nothing) and that's it.
I, too, am working on a commercial mmo project in my spare time. The result will be (and is as of now) of higher quality than MO because I'm not a coked up megalomaniac completely losing the general view on my own abilities. The things that work work and I'm not burning 300k per quarter.
And now ask me if I'd hire a leisure time modder to work with me on it, then I'd say ...no. Because nobody with a minimum knowledge of programming OR a sense of business OR simple common sense would pay money for a complete novice.
Infact I wouldn't let SV anywhere near my project even if they worked for free. Because they're losers. |

SV censoring critical posts is hardly news. The remaining community have only one tool available if they want to "stand up" against SV: their wallet.
Weirdly enough though, some individuals over there almost seem to enjoy being treated like SV's lil' bitches over and over again. It's like the gf of a psychopath: no matter how bad he treats her, she still stays with him because he knows how to sweet talk her between the beatings and humiliations. Meanwhile, sane people around her keep scratching their heads, wondering why she doesn't leave him once and for all. |

I'd take a cheater at their word before a delusional fanboi. SV even treats em better, all they have to do is threaten to unsub. :p

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results. |

Every time I read something about this game, I see them talk about how the gm's are cheeting and handing out goodies to favorites. How bad support is, and how bad the head guy is. I am really surpised that folks still play this game. |

Originally posted by erictlewis Ya it's like an official private server game where the admins play to grief others while soaking in the subs. I laugh at the players more than the GMs or devs (just as I am sure the GMs are laughing at the players). |

it is a form of abused partner syndrome... the players really think they can change it and that the game is good deep down and if they only suffer through enough abuse it will change... .. .
This have been a good conversation |

Haha, you guys are spot on. There was one guy on there posting screens of how he unsubbed and how he was abused by the mods and was leaving and next day he is considering donating money.

Originally posted by ltank Yes, because its all speculation and no proof? Like the time they stole CCPs Eula and was publicly shamed by the guys at Eve Online (which was picked up by gaming sites everywhere)? No "hyperbole"- But there are like 100s of pages of threads here with proof of everything stated- And fanboys defending and saying "just wait for Dawn/Awakening(insert hype here)" and then leaving with their tail between their legs. Now this Corporation (whose stock price has TANKED) is begging for donations... But... Its hyperbole, right? |
