Hey ^^
I dont have GW2 now but im gonna get it at some point. I just have a question related to the combat.
All GW2 vids i saw, have this single buttonbar at the bottom. The question in general is, is there more, to play the piano, or just the well known 10 buttons to forge your fate ? I stopped playing TSW because of that.
Currently im playing SWTOR because of the incredible dynamic PvP, dynamic in terms of your own decision to choose from a whole book of moves, stims, pots and other stacking efects.
Me fears a little, that GW2 cannot offer these things to me, so tell me please, is there more then a single buttonbar ?
cheers ^^

The others can be swapped in and out at will as you unlock them.
It is fairly limited compared to many other games. You should wait for a free trial before buying if that is a major concern.
I should add that you are likely to experiement and change your traits depending on the situation, but that's a very passive system. |

Thanks for your reply. Well ok, i take it as a yes, just that single buttom bar. Honestly i cannot get over that, i want dozends of keybinds. It came over me some days ago. "watch some vids and look at it".
The Age of Conan combat system comes very close to what i favorise. Too bad its medevil theme and has no obvious factions or land to defend/conquer and not that mutch players.
GW2 next year, i like B2P ^^

I've been playing wow for 3 years, and I think gw2 requires a higher skill-cap and is based on making hard desicions rather than spam your binds once they're off cooldown. I believe you'll enjoy the game so much the binds won't really matter to you. I bought razer naga epic and k90 keyboard with tons of macros and binds, I still use most of them in gw2, just for different matters. |

Hmmm this is kind of concerning me too now. I've seen a couple videos too but it didnt register that you just dont have more buttons than that.
I havent played GW2 yet, looking to try it soon. The thing I have to compare to is WoW, where I get bored with the lower level characters because there just arent enough buttons to make the fights interesting. I guess this is all the more reason to see if I can get atrial for GW2 before buying it. Otherwise it is sounding pretty cool, with things like the flexibility of not being as gear-dependent and (yeah I'm vain lol) the nice character looks customization etc... have you noticed other things that you are iffy about regarding GW2? |
