I went back started playing Skyrim with a lot of mods, I cant believe no one has made an mmo using skyrims base mechanics, I mean I know being able to pause for combat is unrealistic, but why a mmo cant make a skyrim type world is boggling.

I was so bored with MMOs that I started to play flight sim! Never thought that this would happend to me... Since GW2 I can't play any MMORPGs. Think this game just sucked... my fun out of MMOs. Was such a die hard fantasy fan since DAoC but im burned out of these theme. Maybe my passion about RPGs will come back again, who knows. |

I was playing daoc lately but I dont have a good template to kick ass. And also EQ but it felt real grindy. They were quite friendly in daoc and in EQ I dont know. However I wanted to try something new. I bought GW2, played it for 2 hours. It was horrible. I had expected something else and really thought the art and graphics was bad. I know it's up to date but that doesnt mean it's pleasant. Also the combat wasnt much fun at all. This game is nothing groundbreaking. I played two free tournaments and it wasnt very exciting. It's been really long since a mmo came out I didn't give up on after one day. I think last time was lotro. Lately I've been trying out some fps and Im in the planetside 2 beta - it's very hard to get good at but I kinda like it sofar. |

With MMO's yes my wife and I for the first time in a long time are not playing any MMO. Right now we play Terraria together and I still play Civ 5 and Diablo 3.

"I played Guild Wars 2 for two whole hours, it's clearly a horrible MMORPG"
This is why real MMO players don't take most people on the forums seriously. Just stick to your little FPS games because honestly we don't want you in our MMOs anyway, filling our chats and forums with tears. |

My kids complain about being bored and they have access to 500 channels, hundreds of video games on 4 different platforms and more toys that I could have ever dreamed of. There have never been more choices than there are right now. Ah, screw it - I get bored too sometimes :P I'm waiting for Age of Wushu and TESO :P
If in 1982 we played with the current mentality, we would have burned down all the pac man games since the red ghost was clearly OP. Instead we just got better at the game. |

Do what I did go back to PnP gaming since there are no games with any depth today. Just wait for a real MMORPG to come out but there are none on the horizon just the same old casual MMO stuff. We have to wait until 2015 a real MMORPG.

Originally posted by Vardahoth I myself am waiting for Pathfinder Online, and no it isn't even listed here. I was interested in AA but I have been watching that for over a year and I don't think it is going to be what we want since they did state the game will be changed from the orignal format to cater to NA, we know what that means. |

I'm enjoying the hell out of GW2. They just made responses to requests made in the forums concerning the three scout classes I play and it looks like it's going to be even more fun as they balance the pve for some and the pvp for others. All while separating the code for the two types of combat. :) Now back to gathcraftsploring. |

Although not an mmorpg, I have been playing Morroblivion. This Mod takes Morrowind and converts it into Oblivions game engine. You can explore Vvardenfell and then travel to Cyrodiil or vice versa with the same character. Morrowind was my favorite of the two games, but now with the Oblivion engine it's even better. Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not. |

Originally posted by itgrowls GW2 was a good game, this thread wasn't about it, but since it's being talked about...I'll give you a REAL review. I played to 80, have full lvl 80 exotics, was in the Titan Alliance and went 31-0 in WvW. I've done all the jumping puzzles, have 100% world map completion, and have run all the dungeons (which suck because of the lack of a trinity). I'm burned out on it. There is a content wall, and anyone that is still content, hasn't hit it yet. Ithankyou. http://thewordiz.wordpress.com/ |
