Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios have released a new Neverwinter video featuring the "Control Wizard" class. Control Wizards are masters of the arcane and are specialists in stunning enemies before unleashing powerful spells. Check out the video with some terrific game play footage. Enjoy! looks pretty good... any news on the beta? I pre-ordered TL2 pretty much just to get into NW beta but no word yet...
I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg |

Control Wizard? Geez get someone with at least a little bit of imagination on your staff. What a terrible name. Is this an example of what the entire game is going to be about? The more I read about this game the less I like.

Originally posted by Aerowyn Even after applying the key you still have to wait for an invite.. and when you get invited isn't guaranteed anyway. The key doesn't mean you will get invited at the start of closed beta, just that you will get in the closed beta eventually (could be 2 days before closed ends, who knows?). It was a bit of a ripoff deal really. |

I'm kinda hopin to see a swordmage in there soon, So long as they keep the teleport in for em. Swordmages can be nasty when built correctly.
Because i can. |

The video itself does not look bad. However, I would like to see more videos about some of the game`s features. Something that would make me go "WOW I have never seen this before, it is gonna be awesome". From this video you cant really tell if the game has any depth or whether its another arcade instant action, like gw 2. Watching this with no context, I would not know whether I am looking at MMORPG or some console single player action RP game. Maybe the game is great, but this video did not make me wanna buy it which I believe is its primary purpose. Playing: Nothing atm My game concept thread: http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/369707 (any feedback appreciated) |

Players come for the game, but they stay for the people- Most Devs have forgotten this. |

So far this is looking a lot less appealling than TES to me... and that isn't actually sweeping me away either right now. The more of 'the future' I see the more I need FFXIV to actually work out tbh :/ |

Despite the fact that it doesn't look especially novel or smooth yet (though ofc it's not finished) I think the Foundry element could really bump it over the edge. The concept of designing your own missions/dungeons to run your mates through (giddy with anticipation as they bound forth blissfully unaware of the 4 gzillion mindbending puzzles, traps and kobolds around every turn) sounds great and judging from the demo the creator options are a lot larger than the one in STO which is pretty nifty in itself. If they can bring even half of that old time D&D dungeon-crawling feel to the table I will be very happy indeed. I think Cryptic have had some bad starts but I'd like to think they've learned their lessons as evidenced with the kinds of changes they made after f2p STO...within the limits of what they could do with such a horrible engine (the ground bit anyway). Fingers crossed. |

Can't wait for the Beta! It looks incredible.
My opinion is my own. I respect all other opinions and views equally, but keep in mind that my opinion will always be the best for me. That's why it's my opinion. |
