Seriously? You find a lack of a social environment here? This game is more social than any I've played, but then again that's hanging out in Lion's Arch on Henge of Denravi.
I have never, ever played a game that players were social until they were at cap. They're too busy leveling to be social. I know I always was. |

Originally posted by Karteli Several Guild based tools and modes are still missing and ANet had already stated that they won't make it in the game in the release cause they are still working on them (Guild Halls with many functions, Guild vs Guild among other things). When these things are in the game I think that a guild list will be added aswell. Most of all since Guild Wars 1 featured Guild Alliances aswell which will probably come over to Guild Wars 2 at some point aswell. What I don't understand however in your posting is WHY you don't talk to the recruiters asking questions about the things that interest or at least search the various forums or the guilds database available to see which guild would suit your needs? The game is actually very social oriented but doesn't force one to be social (except in dungeons or WvsWvsW and sPvP/Tournaments). It gives one the freedome to be social if they want to. Players that aren't doing so aren't social themselves so no matter what the game, they will never be any different unless forced to be. A person that want's to be social can find things to do with friends or guildies in GW2 like in many other games. I had guildies in other games that run events we came up with just for fun while I also throw in some rewards to make things even more interesting. We run dungeons when we can and want, doing pet Charm tours with rangers (guildies or friends), sometimes from what I have seen some are making a party and going to a area to do events together (did that with them a few times aswell), entered each others personal story, entered sPvP as a team (unfortunately got split and ended up fighting each other :p ), teamed up in WvsWvsW and more. If there is a will, there is not only one way, there are many ways. If there is no will then no game ever will be able to make people act more social. The ones that doesn't want to, will only team up with you because they are forced and dissappear immediately after they got what they wanted, while others will complain in the forums about the "forced grouping" |
