Alot of people joined up and enjoyed EVE for some time now.  Ive played in it for about a year and it seems that just like the old timers you get tired of hearing promises.  Why?....  Well you get tired of beta testing on prime time.  Thats why you have another server eh?  The player base generally loves the game but I feel they will be driven to other things if the promised changes dont occur soon.  Other people will leave because they things they trained for were changed ingame and some of it nerfed skills that we have been using.  I can understand changing content to bring in new things.  Changing a good wheel for a broken one just dosent make sense.

If you join EVE be prepared to have fun, but also put up with devs who have a serious lack of focus at the moment.  Devs stop reading the forums and just work on resolving the current issues.

One elevator ride to hell, going down!

Wow, I don't even know where to start with this one. I have been playing about the same amount of time as you and don't feel/think any of the things that you hit on.

The launch of Exodus was pretty rough for a couple weeks, and there are and were and will be bugs but I haven't crashed in quite some time and in all, am running much better than on the Genesis code. As for the promises...they are releasing those. A little at a time but they are coming. Look at the amount of ships that have been added since we started. I know they haven't introduced the mining of comets yet, but they stated that would be later.

I have played other MMOs and, to be honest, think this is the best set of devs I know of. They sift through the incessant whining and figure out not only what people want, but what will work in game.

If this game is so bad, I have to wonder why so many people love this game.

I would love to see someone develope a "bug free" system, but I am a realist. I know my computer is running software and hardware that your computer might not be. Then you have people running unsupported systems, like emulating windows on a Linux box or using an unsupported video card, or having outdated audio drivers. They all cause problems and expecting the devs to be able to determine every scenario, nor can you expect them to bow down to the whining of every person who wants "this change to make the game better". EVE is what it is, love it or hate it.

My hat is off to all the people at CCP for making an awesome game.

Well I agree that for the most part EVE has a good success story.  They are trying to balance the ammo types and a few other items that have seen the luxory of inflated stats.  Such as extreme range weapons, vs. medium.  I do think they did a good job in looking at the ranges of ammo and weapon types.  However, on the other side of the coin... Why two years into the process?  Why now?  I guess thats my point...  Ammo and weapon types and changing stats on those things should have been done long ago.

My frustration comes about when we had that big influx of tech II items..  weapons.. mods.. and the stats kept changing for their requirements for use.  Some requirements I had while others were close.  Then changes where made.. and I lost use of some mods... go figure..  Another month or two of training.

You do have to adapt with all games... if things dont change then it gets boring eh?

I will be back ingame whenever, because I do like the depth and variety of the game.

its a shame they havent got the stock market out yet though.

that would be awesome. and look on the bright side the more skills you train the more increaces in certain stats you gain.
