LOL you actually think people are going for Pandaria? Majority of people I know that plays WoW thinks the Panda thing is a silly idea.


I honestly like GW2's quest system, no running back and forth, just stumble upon a heart and complete the quest and move on (or talk to the heart if you want karma items). I've done most of my leveling by exploring, I didn't sit in a single spot and farm for very long unless I was close to the next level.

Quest hub or no quest hub it doesn't really matter .. It's all about the content and make up of said quest .. Give people something fun and interesting to do and most will not care on the delivery system .

The boring old tat is always going to be boring old tat no matter how it's dressed up

The game is too old and the quest design is too deeply embedded into the system mechanics that they'd probably have to do a complete overhaul of the game.

Now people sharing xp for killing stuff without grouping, finding a way of knowing when multiple people in an area have the same quest and can kill the same enemies for the items, or to rack up the numbers of needed kills on a quest without grouping, that might be a reasonable design goal.

I may be wrong, however.

Imo quest hubs arent bad, QUESTS ARE BAD. Yes you heard me, I think quests are bad these days because they are all grab 10 rat tails, kill 40 of that, gather this do that. I'd rather have quests which are hard and not marked on your map or given to you by a npc who could easily have went and done it by himself.

Actually no quests is the better option, sandbox style plz. Make your own quests.

Sure.  Bare in mind this is coming from someone who only got to around level 13 in the beta.

 

The heart quests were the most boring repetitve MMO quests just with a bar instead of numbers. 

 

I didn't like the DEs because you're forced to play at a certain tempo to complete them, they were just escort, kill, bleh; they were just big zergs that I really didnt enjoy.

Absolutely.  The quests were designed better, had better humour and alot of them were varried in the way you do or resolve the quest.  GW2 quests are just like any other MMO.

Alot of the they are so cool hype they are getting is because it's hidden behind a heart instead of an exclamation point - as well as you not having to talk to anyone to get/complete the quest.

A little more specifc is needed.

If you mean "Is WoW going to have GW2 style questing design?", then I would say it's unlikely, considering that's what WoW is pretty much centered around and the game is ancient by MMO standards. They MIGHT be able to alter it to make it more GW2ish to steal back the people who left for GW2, but I wouldn't count on it.

If you mean "Is their future MMO Titan going to have GW2 questing design?", then my answer is that we don't know for sure, although if GW2' questing design becomes a new standard, or at the least gets enough attention, I wouldn't put it past Blizzard to copy it and "improve" it with Titan.

First off, you might want to fix your grammar.

Secondly, as much as I don't like the guy ,WoW, despite it's sharp decline during Cataclysm, still holds a hefty player count, and GW2 is not out of the woods yet. And for all we know, Blizzard COULD end up pulling off another lightning in a bottle act, though I personally doubt it considering WoW's storm was a one in a million deal.
