It sucks to you because you suck at it and it's not soloable, you actually need the whole team to fight like a team. In BF3 you can be an elite player and the rest can be noobs and you still win. Can you atleast try to get used to teambased pvp?

[mod edit] The WvW queue is not something that should be taken lightly, as WvW seems to be the biggest selling point for the games longevity. One of my house mates has already abandoned the game as it was the PVP he was most interested in. If A-net doesn't find a solution soon I fear that in a couple of months many of you "hardcores" will only have crickets, dust-bunnies, and tumbleweeds to play with as the PVE portion of the game just ain't that interesting.

They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical. 2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself. 3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Originally posted by ItsGopher This. GW2 PvP is about team play only. If you were looking for 1 on 1 then you should have paid closer attention to what ANet was saying and not bought the game. Sorry if it's not for you, but they were loud and clear on how this was going to be. |

I understand what you're saying if you're just comparing the interest in PVE to the typical content a PVP player would be drawn to with GW2. I imagine the PVE content is on a very different level than PVP interest based on the targeted audience of the first guild wars, but I also don't want anyone to underestimate the quality and quantity of stuff to do in PVE. I really like what they did to improve it over the first and I want to see ArenaNet update and expand upon both. |

Originally posted by Grimmx Why are you still talking about 1 v 1. The game is even called Guild Wars. Not Solo Wars. As far as the queue times being too long I won't argue about. But your continued 1 v 1 pvp talk is beyond asinine in a game built for group mechanics and pvp. |

If you want lower queues
Transfer to a smaller server |

I transfered to a low pop server. It took me about 65 min to get into www. In www i think i died about 10 times in a hour. Every single time i died i got zerged..not by 1 or 10, but by 30+. It was like a flood of players that just mashed AOE and ranged attacks all over. Each time i had problems spotting them because they they just popped out of nowhere (maybe fixed by settings, but i doubt it), and by the spamming of skills and aoe's that landed i had no way to escape. Each time i died i had to return to the citadel and run all the way back. (whats up with that?) Right now im kinda sad ive found no things in this game that i like. Its back to waiting for the next thing i guess. :( |

Long Queue on WvWvW on HIGH populated server? Than change your server! Stop being a faggot and being carried by the big guilds and be helpfull to low pop ones. now: GW2 |

I was hoping W v W would turn out like DAOC (rvr) just seems to be a numbers game and zero skill. Maybe as the game continues it may become a bit more organised and structured. One gripe I have with the system is some of the escape ablities seem to not work properly like the turn to mist for elementalist i have been stunned and snared while in mist mode. Seems to be alot of CC which can be annoying at times when being perma stunned or snared.

Originally posted by Grimmx I agree about the PvP part, it is real shit. Much prefer WAR or even Darkfall PvP to this faceroll/zerg PvP. PvE on the other hand is quite good, looks like they spent alot more time on it. |

Originally posted by Kenaoshi The OP said he moved a character to a server with less load and still had issues. Simply being on a populated server does not immediately mean you are some nugget being "carried by big guilds". Clearly you should expect longer wait times on a highly populated server, but having x hour long queues on any server is not exactly a good state of affairs. |

Look at it this way. Long qeues may keep you from pvping and facerolling people. Long qeues also keep you from getting facerolled in pvp. There are two sides to every goat.

Originally posted by bunnyhopper W v W v W PvP is GW2's big selling point, hard to understand why there are all these queues, among other issues on what is the primary game feature. Perhaps Arenanet didnt take any pointers from DAOC, which could be a serious mistake, hopefully this whole queue thing will be resolved quickly, though im wondering if the reason for the queues isnt really down to the games inability to handle large player numbers in the W v W v W PvP areas, if so, that would be a serious issue. |

Originally posted by Grimmx the trick is to keep breathing. and to stay focused, if you just jump around like a squirrel, you might be effective in zerg, you wont be "good" in pvp tho. you need to keep moving, obviously, otherwise the AE classes will nuke the sh** out of you, but while you do that you need to stay focused on one particular target, and always have an eye open for the low health victims appearing now and then. if you liked and are used to the pvp wow offered for example, i don't doubt for a second that this might be abit "unusual" at first "I'll never grow up, never grow up, never grow up! Not me!" |

PVP will always be a joke in themeparks, which is why i can grasp why people who play themeparks bypass the content and race to endgame pvp. There is no risk no loss...and the rewards for being successfull are pointless. Hell there isnt even large scale territory conflicts, or guild gased sieges in this game...at least that has some "bigger picture" risk involved...not even sure why you would join a guild in this game...for the clubhouse chat? Did hear this game does plan guild halls, which is great if you want to play house with your guild i guess...lol
