Originally posted by gwei1984 Dungeons require small groups. People are spamming LFG all the time in LA now. Give it some time. I for one, am glad that basic leveling doesn't require hard forms of grouping. Its frustrating spending hours looking for a group to simply progress. Its one of the few things sandboxes have done right over the last 6 years.

No, I'm having fun and not in the slightest bit bored. I think its because I'm taking the game as intended (for PvE at least.) Play slowly, explore, go in whatever direction you please and use the personal storyline as a loose guide. There's alot of hidden stuff so many people miss. This game reworked so much of what bugged me about MMOs so its like a breath of fresh air. I can sort of see what people mean about game longetivity though. The game does not have a traditional end game, although explorabe mode dungeons could arguably count as end-game content. We'll have to see long term what Anet will do to encourage people to play more at 80.

Got accepted to Mechwarrior online and have not played GS2 all week....lol
Yes I am getting sorta bored with it. I enjoy the WvW PvP but that's about it to be honest. BigCountry | Head Hunters | www.wefarmpeople.com |

Sounds to me like many people's expectations for this game were just too high. ArenaNet promised a persistent world where your actions would matter... at least for a while. And they absolutely do, it's just that "for a while" may not be all that long. If you kill a whole village of pirates and you see them respawn again behind your back, then that definitely doesn't help to drive home the feeling that your actions matter. But then, in what MMO did it ever? It's not like they can make you the star of the show, as they can in a single player RPG. And if there's dozens of players in a zone, they can't delay those respawns for too long, as that would mean that people start complaining that there's nothing to do there. It's hard to find the right balance... The only place where your actions really matter and you do see a permanent impact based on the choices you made, is in your personal story. There are so many different story paths, that I feel the replayability of this game is very high, and I don't think I will be putting it down anytime soon. But even here, people's expectations may have been too high. Unlike a single player game, they cannot have something like "You wiped out all the pirates in an entire zone and saved the inhabitants. The pirates will not be coming back"... because 10 minutes later you'll be walking through that same zone outside of your story instance, and you'd still see pirates. The choices you make in your story need to be consistent with what you see in the persistent world around you... meaning their impact will usually be fairly small. And there are definitely storylines where they could have done a better job, but all in all, I think they did a really good job. And yes, if you think combat doesn't matter, try doing higher level PvE combat in smaller groups, or doing the various paths of the explorable mode dungeons. You really do learn to rely on each other and to bring a build that is not only beneficial to yourself, but also to your group. I actually love the combat system, where everyone can do support, everyone can rez, everyone can jump in and take a hit for their team, to save a downed player (or to distract the mob from a player in trouble). |

Not me. But I'm also quite a busy person, so I don't have much time to game. I haven't even tried all classs yet, or seen all WvW thingies, or any dungeon. :D
Let's play Fallen Earth (blind, 265 episodes) Let's play Guild Wars 2 (blind, 45 episodes) |

I am still having a blast. Always so much to see and do with so many hidden gems through out the game. Honestly, i have no idea how you can be burnt out so damn soon. Sounds like you skipped a lot of the fun.
