It's a combination of Nightingale Armor with the Mod Truebound Deadric Armors

The game would be worthy of a sub but only if they changed all the mechics in the game that encourage the cash shop. And that includeds vanity items. If you want $15/mo, I want access to every single pixel you offer. Mothinly sub means equal opportunity for all players. Standard exception being collectors edition vanity items.

I feel that the state of the genre is such that a total and complete failure is needed so it can be reborn anew.
I'm actually hoping this new generation of 8 button MMOs will make that happen.

The game is so light on content it's almost criminal.  I can't beleive this game was in development for this long.  Would it really have been that hard to put a few quests in there just to give you some kind of reason to explore the world other than seeing another cave or another field?

If this game had a subscription, it would be a massive failure.

Yeh, I guess the developers are well aware of the fact that their game gets dull for many players within the first month who wouldn't pay for another month. The fact that the game had a higher box price (55 EUR) and no subscription means the developers didn't really believe in the longevity of their game. This is like a very cheap "lifetime" offer.

Umm DEs and Hearts are quest... try talking to some NPCs. Some start DEs that anyone can join in on later. Talk to them again after your DE is finished, theres follow ups sometimes.

Honestly though, how can you say there aren't quest?

Yes I would pay for a sub to GW2. It's a solid mmo and I love the casual game design approach.

I doubt he still plays the game but its obvious that he has played the game. Even you can see that if you play. He is totally right about everything he said about the game.

Right, people have been clammoring for a different way to do things, and the first time it happens, those who cried saying "I want a game that doesn't spoon feed me quest" Or "I am tired of quest hubs" turn around like little children.

You can't blow through stuff in this game. If you see some NPC's talking, you have to listen, cause they may be talking about something going on nearby. I saw some people talking about the water didn't look clean, and I had to travel across the zone to see bandits destroying the water tower. I didn't click on someone who said please go save our water tower, nor did I stumble upon it by accident, although I have stumbled into other situations by accident. Thats content. Thats a new way to do questing, and if you don't get it, sorry your dumb.

I try not to be too fanboyish, but seriously, this game did alot of things different. If you have been complaining about wanting something different, and say this is just same old same old, you the kind of person who would complain if somone hung you with a new rope.

Oh and I won't put imop to appease these assholes either and i don't give a toss if i get banned for speaking my mind.Every mmo on this site  is fucking awesome because they get $$$ for saying so.

If 80hrs+ a week is super casual then I don't know what to tell you.

Quest exist in GW: Hearts and DEs are quest. The difference is you don't have to talk to the NPC to do them. If you want a sense of story, talk to the NPCs.  You then find out how good the story writing actually is. Some DEs are only triggered if a person talks to a NPC

Grinding for shines exist you just dont have to do it to stay on even footing with anyone else, or do it in order to progress to the next level.

Tiered gear exist, but its more for the min maxers than being the entry fee into dungeons

WvW is simply awesome. I just wish they would expand the amount of people that can particapate so the QUEs aren't as long.

Man I don't know how many times I have been banned for simply speaking out against the masses about GW2. Even my guild isn't suprised when I tell them I was banned again. Opinion isn't appreciated on this forum if it goes against the advertising campaigns companies pay this site for.

So, no GW2 doesn't have the content to justify a monthly fee. Hell no game in the last few years has really justified a monthly fee, thats why they are closing (maybe Rift) or going F2P. Dynamic Events in GW2 aren't even Dynamic, its just a webbed system that triggers others (pretty static actually). Rift was more Dynamic with its Invasions at release, not the event itself, but the possibility of those invasion forces taking over outposts.

Your going to see on the GW2 wiki a guide to the "DE's" here shortly showing  what you have to do to make them happen. ArenaNet should of just called them Events, because the word dynamic doesn't reflect anything at all of what they did.

"In the immediate future, we have this one, and then we’ve got another one that is actually going to be – so we’re going to have, what we want to do, is in January, what we’re targeting to do, this may or may not happen, so you can’t hold me to it. But what we’re targeting to do, is have a fun anniversary to the Ilum shenanigans that happened. An alien race might invade, and they might crash into Ilum and there might be some new activities that happen on the planet." ~Gabe Amatangelo

I voted yes.

To me, it's still a way better game than most subs. based mmo I have played in the last 5++ years.

As for this statement : "The game is plagued with bugs " .  Aside from the Trade Market and the Mail system that are constantly unavailable (this is really my only real issue with the game so far), I think it's pushing it a bit to much..

I had two DEs and one skill point that were bugged  (and I've been playing since headstart).  With the scope of the game and the number of things that happens all around at random, I would have thought there would be a lot more than that.

I don't think I play a different build than anyone though...  but I also played most major mmos as soon as they got released since EQ, so I'm probably not seeing this under the same light.

Why do you think i highlighted it in yellow? because i just love the color so much? you have never played the game so you have no idea that whatever he wrote and highlighted in yellow is just BS.

I agree that this game does some things different and I give Arena Net props for trying but just like every other developer out there they have forgotton about what made people fall in love with the mmo genre and what made it special.

I won't pay the normal box much less with a sub on top.

Nowadays, there's too many games you can play for free. TOR is going F2P too, PS2, NW and maybe even WildStar will be F2P aswell.

Adding the fact that it's possible to get good quality single players for cheap prices, it's just not worth it.

I'm not against subs it all, but adding a full box price is too much.

Honestly, i'm like one of the previous posters. I may pay a sub to play, leave the game, and return for a month later on if there's enough content.

I've always said that GW2 is a solid themepark with many good things, but, i think it will last me for 2, maybe 3 months, and that's why i don't agree.

if the game was fully downloadable with a sub, or, better yet, with a box of 5, free month and sub, it'd may actually be worth it.

I would have cancelled my subscription the first day once i realized there was nothing in the game but heart quests and DE's.  The games system reminds me too much of that last Final fantasy MMO where there were no quests just those stupid guild leves.  There's no content in this game and leveling becomes a chore that requires you to craft just to slightly keep up with he areas your in.  One stupid quest for each level and then a bunch of random walking around.  I don't feel compelled at all to explore because i know i'll run into a bunch of mobs i have to kill that give almost zero experience for killing.  I feel absolutely no desire to go explore that cave over there because what's the point?  The half hour i'll be in there i'll get maybe a bubble of experience and for what?

The game is so light on content it's almost criminal.  I can't beleive this game was in development for this long.  Would it really have been that hard to put a few quests in there just to give you some kind of reason to explore the world other than seeing another cave or another field?

If this game had a subscription, it would be a massive failure.

Honest question. Do you even play this game?

I doubt he still plays the game but its obvious that he has played the game. Even you can see that if you play. He is totally right about everything he said about the game.

Why do you think i highlighted it in yellow? because i just love the color so much? you have never played the game so you have no idea that whatever he wrote and highlighted in yellow is just BS.

LMAO, prepurchased and started playing last friday night at 11 PM my time in Texas. Played a Thief till level 20 then rolled an Elementist and got it to level 16 or 17 before I had seen enough. If you look at the MMORPG.com guild roster you will even see my name. I guess everybody that does not feel like you have not played the game?

Yeh, I guess the developers are well aware of the fact that their game gets dull for many players within the first month who wouldn't pay for another month. The fact that the game had a higher box price (55 EUR) and no subscription means the developers didn't really believe in the longevity of their game. This is like a very cheap "lifetime" offer

the GW2 box price was the same as most other games in the usa..

I voted
Yes, I would gladly pay a monthly fee.

But only because I gave a few other titles, that were P2P, a couple of months of my time.
I don't see this game holding my attention in the long run. This isn't 2004, when I was easily entranced and kept playing an MMO for far longer even though I grinded my hind off.

I've almost completely outgrown themepark MMORPGs...

The wonky, floaty, shit visual cues combat is annoying me like nobody's business. If it weren't for the numbers/text flying around I would have NO clue that I was hitting something or that something did indeed hit me.

Action combat my foot.

Have to agree with this comment ...i wont sub to a game again..bought a lifetime for TSW and it was worth it but no more subs after this..if these guys can put a game like this out without a sub then so can the rest.

Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we oft' might win, by fearing to attempt

I would happily play a sub fee for this game.

It has nothing to do with your feelings. it is about features of the game which i highligthed in yellow.

Are you gonna tell me with straight face that you get zero xp for killing mobs if you go out exploring?

A cave and a field is all that is there to see when you explore? and all you get is a bubble of experince?

The game is light on content because it doesn't have quests? even though scouts work on similar principles and replace traditional questing?

Sorry but like i said earlier......this got nothing to with your FEELINGS.

I don't mind people criticising the game, i do that 90% of the time. But atleast do it on basis of factual information and not just make s*** up.
