Greetings. You know a lot of people play the MMO for some specific part of it. PVE or PVP. GW2 offers two very different ways to PVP and obviously, some people would play the game for some specific type of pvp. Now, the WvWvW system as it is is very well done and very enjoyable. Butt i see a huge problem with WvWvW that is very much destroying all the fun: queues Now, of course, in current scheme (which i do not agree with) there must be a limit in order to give fair chance to both high and low pop servers. However, currently the queue to WvWvW is as frustrating as it can get. Theese are the problems I think are the most hurting to the experience: 1) If you leave game, return to login screen, d/c, even for 5 seconds, you're kicked out. You have to stand in queue again. 2) You can only queue for one of the battlegrounds. 3) You do not have even rough approximation of how long a queue is going to take. In my opinion, all those must, and i do mean MUST be fixed in order for WvWvW to actually be an enojyable experience and not frustration it is now for a lot of people. 1) I think you should have at least a minute to log in back in game and reconnect. There are a lot of times you can get disconnected or have to restart the game. For example, today i had a nasty sound problem that would only fix on game restart. You may have a random D/C from your provider. Anything. With like 300 or so players, letting one slot be held for a minute isnt a really big deal. And it will help a lot. 2) Sometimes you want to join a specific battleground, sometimes you just want to have WvWvW action. For these purposes, "Queue for first available battleground" option must be added. Effectively, it will queue you to every single battleground, but will not keep your places in other 3 queues when one of them pops for you. 3) Knowing how much more you have to wait is important. You may have an hour to wait, and would buy a crafting xp boost and go crafting, or you may have five minutes to wait, then you can make yourself a cup of coffee. A timer would most definetly help. Even better - a timer and amount of people in queue. Even better - if you could see how many people of your server are there in every battleground (in case you dont have a queue but an opposite situation - lack of people). This would help a LOT - really - for those who have to wait in queue or those who wanna chose which battleground to queue for. |

1 option to turn your name on
2 ability to create open groups and ability for players to look for groups to join (like war) thinking about it this would help pve too. |

They need to do something about arrow carts and ballista. It seems like every fight devolves into dancing around 30 red circles on the ground to avoid insta-death. They need a longer cooldown between firings and there needs to be a mechanism to prevent them from being placed close to each other. In Planetside, there was a proximity system for placing deployable equipment to prevent having 30 sentry turrets or mines stacked inside one small area. GW2 has to implement something similar or it's just going to get worse as more and more people start viewing 6 silver the way we do pennies. |

Get lowbies out of WvW. That would help a lot with queues. Give them battlegrounds like DAOC had that don't affect the overall WvW war but are good places to earn xp, level appropriate items, and learn how to play your class in PvP. They could be designed something like Molvik (level 35-39 BG in DAOC) with one tower per server and a central keep. There could be multiple instances with the same population caps in each instance as in each WvW zone. Also they need to hugely increase the xp earned in PvP from player kills. Right now participating in PvP lags far behind PvEing in leveling speed. It needs to be at least in the same ballpark if not faster. Add player kill xp to casual (non-tournament) sPvP matches too. This will also help with WvW queues by giving players another option to PvP and level when WvW is full. I'm not saying lowbies should be outright banned from queuing for WvW. But if they added these features, many low level players would choose to participate in battlegrounds and sPvP until they got higher level. That would help them and make more WvW slots available for higher level toons. CU FP#0: The game must be fun. This overrides all the other FPs. Interested in: TESO, Wildstar, CU |
