Originally posted by MikeJezZ Warriors have better defense and offense than Guardians. Just Guardians provide their group much better in support and buffs, and burns for field AoE.

creating a light field for people to use in case you lack condition removal. there is a trait in the vitality tree that allows you to make your symbol larger, and another one that heals your allies. It really depends on your play style.
*Spoiler* As for the differences in how guardians differ from warriors, support wise, their biggest aspect are the Conscreations. Today I ran the storymode for the Sorrows Embrace where we had only 4 people because one decided to afk, and to be honest, one of the mini boss fights would have been impossible with a warrior as a pose to a Guardian. Wall of Reflection and Sanctuary can easiliy turn a difficult boss fight into a much more managable one. Anyone who's run the story mode for SE would know that the Flame Golem fight is godly annoying. I managed to pull through with my group using Wall of Reflection which can reflect those bolts back at the boss, while Sanctuary+SoA absorbs the flames preventing flame patches on the ground. Mechanically speaking, Guardians have some really fight turning abilities that require other players in their group/team to know what their abilites do to make the most out of them, as a pose to Warriors, where most of the support mechanics are more easily recognized (banner/shout warriors). |
